looking at the trade mentioned here.

Dwight: 19,536,360
Jrich: 5,799,625
BDD: 6,400,000
total: 31,735,985

Bynum: 16,100,000
Mcroberts: 3,135,000
Eyenga: 1,174,080
TOTAL: 20,409,080

total: 31,735,985
TOTAL: 20,409,080
11,326,905

all the trade exceptions the lakers have is a total of 10,298,629.

that leaves us with a difference of just over 1 million. i think them adding in Sacre and DJO would get it closer to that number where it works out.

Well, I thought about this real hard guys, but this is the best we can do and the only way we can do this trade if we had a Jedi Master to manipulate the situation in our favor for this kinda trade.

Offensively, what does he do better than brook lopez??

Lopez is better in the post and as a jump shooter (not that a center should be shooting jump shots) and they are about the same when it comes to offensive rebounding

If we trade for Bynum, we'll just have another immature guy to please as he's a FA next year too. Unless the Lakers are willing to give us assets from an other team by giving up Gasol also, Pass!

The Orlando Magic have already said they would like to begin a Rebuilding process of some kind with out Gasol. Bynum is still young enough and efficient enough to buiild with .

I meant Gasol going to a third team, like Houston

I don't really mind his prima donna attitude because he pretty much is the franchise at this point in time, but the fact he constantly threw the organization under the bus tells me he needs to go. As long as Bynum is putting up 20/10 as the main guy I don't think he would have a reason to be immature.

I agree Dwight needs to go. I just don't want Bynum anywhere near this team either. He's way overrated on this board and people overlook his immaturity and attitude problems.

Gasol to Houston is possible and likely.

Not to mention Bynums defense is better than Lopez's

I forgot when it was but someone put up stats that showed Bynum vs Lopez head to head vs each other when Bynum was healthy......Bynum got destroyed in a lot of categories......but i think Bynum is still the better overall player by a fair margin......

head-to-head statistics (outside of talking trash to your friends) are about as useful as a poop flavored lolly pop

Bynum is way better than Lopez. I don't need numbers to tell me that.

I see people continue to overrate bynum, while ignoring Brooks. Bynum is probably the better overall player, but lopez is much better offensively
Zmill wrote:Bynum > Lopez in offensive rebounds

For his career, Lopez has averaged 2.8 over his career where as bynum has averaged just about 3 per game since becoming a full time starter. Not much of a difference to me
Zmill wrote:Jump shooting I don't care about

Its part of the game, so it does matter. Duncan is a great shooter, and that in part makes him one of the better big men in the game

Whats even worse is when people put Bynum is in dwight class as a player
About the only thing they are comparable at is their immaturity

Return to Orlando Magic
