"I never used the word 'blackmail' in reference to any of my dealings with the Magic,” Howard told RealGM. “And I never said the Magic blackmailed me.”

“I'm tired of reporters using 'sources' to print inaccurate and defamatory stories about me,” he said. “It is past time for these reporters to quote their sources. Especially since what is being printed is not true and damages my reputation every day."

Howard had no comment on the reports that he’s requested a trade to the Brooklyn Nets, choosing to focus only on the report that is claiming he was duped into signing the opt-in clause. Heoward vowed to address the fans and media when the time is right.

Cuz Woj is a major player in the industry.

It s easy for Rob
Just build the team without d12, send the guy to d league and wait till he is ready to sign with other team, if he doesn't,keep him there all year and let him walk.

Dwight wants to be in Brooklyn so bad, I would force the Nets to give up all their valuable pieces and eat all our ugly contracts in order to make a deal. If they refuse, I would give Dwight the Marbury treatment and ban him from the team and let him ride out his contract while we go into rebuild mode.

I will be very upset if the Magic bend over and let Dwight force his way to Brooklyn at this point.

Howard, Turk, JRich, QRich, and Duhon for Brooks, and a re-signed Lopez.

Ok...did anyone else get the feeling that the promise ORL made to Dwight was sign the ETO and then they would trade him to the NETS in the off season??? Remember Dwight did not want to be traded towards the end cuz he wanted to play the season out??? I think that is what it is...and then we did not do it and he is now pissed?

And that means all that loyalt crap he said was a lie and the interview he had on real gm was a lie...he was trying to not look like the bad guy

Why would we do that? That wouldn't make sense for us.

By who? Coming off the injury, I seriously doubt anyone pays him anything close to the max.

He'll easily get $12 mil per if not more. Hibbert just got $15 mil per. Batum was offered $12 mil per. Gerald Wallace got $10 mil for God's sake. NBA owners are insane.

I think he gets less than that, and at 10 or 11 Lopez could prove to be a real value if healthy.

Yeah I have to agree Asik just got 8 mil per and I believe Lopez is going to start off at around 10 mil per and may be higher.

Who is driving up his market? The Nets seem to be the only bidder right now. Had Lopez not been hurt all year, he'd surely be getting 12 or more a year. Making him a value at 10 mil or so if he's healthy.
