If we can sell Gordon on really being here, then he can just tell New Orleans that he wants a bigger role here in PHX and not to match the Suns offer.

Then if the Suns want, they can trade Lopez (s&t) and a '14 2nd rd pick (top 40 protected) to the Hornets for Eric Gordon (s&t)

^Lopez and a 2nd rounder doesnt net Gordon. Im sure Gortat would have to be a part of any potential s&t.

If it comes down to Gordon being a lil b***h like Dwight and says I will only play for one team, then what can New Orleans do?

They would have to either lose Gordon for nothing OR take whatever we give them.

No way in hell I trade Gortat, Morris or Dudley for a restricted FREE AGENT.

Trade #1:
Suns trade:
Hakim Warrick 4 mil

Jazz trade:
Devin Harris 8.5 mil

Why for the Suns:
Devin Harris is a good stop gap at the point guard position for one year while KMarshall takes his lumps as a rookie. Harris contracts is expiring and will not effect next offseason persue of JHarden/SIbaka.

Why for Jazz:
They are currently at 60 mil in cap space and this would reduce their cap immensely since they only take 4 mil in salary and trade away 15.7 mil. Hakim Warrick has a team option next offseason which can make him a expiring contract as well.

#2
Suns trade:
Aaron Brooks (S&T)
2 nd round pick

Nuggets trade:
Wilson Chandler 7.4 mil

Why for the Suns:
It gives the Suns a " Shawn Marion" type of player to compliment KMarshall. I'm not saying that he as good as Marion was, but he posses some of the same attributes. Chandler is very athletic, very good shooter, defensively, hes okay but a good offense treat.

Why for the Nuggets:
It give them a different look in the PG position. Instant offense Coming off the bench and coach Carl will use him effectively.

Suns 12-13 lineup:
Devin Harris 29/ Kendall Marshall 20
Wilson Chandler25 / Jared Dudley 26
Michael Beasley 23/ Josh Childress 29
Channing Frye 29/ Markieff Morris 23
Marcin Gortat 27/ Robin Lopez 24

You still can Offer Eric Gordon the max with these moves if he decided to come our way or Michael Beasley 7 mil annually.

I don't think Gordon is like that though. I mean, have you seen the guy's interviews? He's as meek as they come. Then again, Orlando thought Dwight was a good guy too. But I wouldn't be opposed to a s&t of Gordon for Gortat...Gordon is just a better player.

He would have to pass physicals or have the training staff give the green light first, of course.

The most I give up for Gordon is Robin Lopez, lottery protected 1st and a promise to not match their offer for Aaron Brooks if they want him since he's younger and better than Jack.

Because he wasn't on our payroll this last season. I don't know what rule it is, but that's how it's been explained to me.

It was put there so 1) people like Keith Van Horn can't get a S&T for no reason other than to make salaries work and 2) foreign players can't be S&T'd if they weren't on the roster. No one expected it to effect a player like Brooks because of that lockout\CBA situation.

So we're pretty much our PG rotation is going to be Brooks/Marshall/Telfair unless we don't match contracts offer to Brooks. Lame

And rest assured, we won't match a Brooks offer. The reason we're not giving Nash a 3rd year, and the reason we're not going to sign Goran, is because we don't want Marshall to be a backup for 4 years. We want to have him starting within the next three seasons. So Brooks is out.

I would actually resign Brooks (if deal is reasonable) and trade him at the deadline or at the end of the season. We can get at least first round pick for him, imo.

I'm in favor of that idea but I think our FO is so risk averse that they'll just be afraid of the possibility that nobody trades for him and then we're stuck with him forever, lol.
