We didn't need him off the books to sign the Big 3.

He made less in 2011 than Mike Miller (4.9 vs 5)

We used his salary space to get Miller. It wasn't necessary to get rid of him to get the Big 3

It was necessary. It was a condion in fact.

It actually wasn't, unless you assert signing Miller was a condition to getting the big 3 (I've never seen any report that suggested this).

I'd like the player to come back, but not all the baggage and crap he brings along with it.

While I'd love to see him back here, I'm sure he'll get a MLE offer. He's a knucklehead, but in the right environment, he can score his ass off. Someone is going to pay him. Hopefully someone with a shot blocking center that can cover up his defensive slips.

What source is that?

The only report I've ever seen about Miller's involvement with the big 3 is that he wanted to sign where LeBron did. I've never seen a report that suggested LeBron would only sign where Miller did as well.

Also, I have no idea why people are talking about Dorell coming back (isn't he under contract?), but I'd be fine with him coming back, he'd fit right in as depth coming off the bench, and is another one of those multiple position guys (can be slotted in at the 2, 3 or 4).

Beasley I'm less inclined to want because he's extremely inefficient despite being a talented scorer, actually hurting rather than helping Minnesota's offensive rating the last couple of seasons (offensive rating of 95 last year, that is horrible). He is not the kind of player that would just "fit right in" to a championship team, which is what we are now.

I brought up Dorell. There hasn't been any talk of it. With their rookie though they may be wanting to free up some PT for him. DW was in the doghouse at the end of the year and Joel earns about the same.

There is nothing to the DW talk, just me speculating as I think he's a good fit for us.

Waiting for some news outlet to pick up my rumor.

Its just something that HIF made up to cover up for him being factually wrong again.

He said we needed to clear Beasley to sign the big 3. When it was pointed out that it was actually to clear space for Miller a mysterious source that is only beholden to him appears and says one of the big 3 only signs if Miller does.

Lets examine this "rumor". First the only big 3 member who was even close to Miller was Lebron. They were friends but nowhere near as close as Lebron and Wade. So apparently Lebron would only come if they signed Miller? Preposterous.

Where was Lebron going to go instead? The Knicks, Nets, Bulls, Cleveland?

All because of Miller? That's laughable.

The next time I see Mike I'll bring up HIF's source, I'm sure he'll get a laugh about Lebron following him here to Miami and it being a necessary condition.

It helped but far from necessary.

I'd definitely prefer Dorell back. Some may remember my man-crush on him from day 1. He became a great fit for this team the year before it was assembled.

Come home Dorell!

Did we ever find out who from the Heat organization was fired for taking that photo? It was on a Heat private function yet leaked?

That said very talented and for a SF to shoot 45% when healthy he is lethal when on fire but still needs to learn to work in the post.

Except I never said that at all. You're just making up bull just like your "source".

Lies as usual from you while being factually wrong all of the time. You're the perfect combination of being wrong all of the time, being too stupid to notice and making up lies that don't even make any sense.

Keep up your hope that we get Dragic for the minimum when he signs for 7-10 mil a season. Good call on that one.

Is Diaw still the IDEAL player? Is 41% shooting by Dirk still AMAZING?

I never liked Beasley, even before the day we drafted him.

He just never struck me as a player that fit into our culture of hard work/effort, playing defense, and doing the little things that win a game. He was mostly concerned with just scoring.

Plus his production and draft value was inflated playing in a college where he was the #1 option, playing against average competition, with no chance/aspiration of playing for a national title.

When I used to post on the Ira Winderman blog, I used to tell Beasley apologists that Chalmers would end up being a better draft pick.
