Eh. Doesn't seem to be all that important to me. But also what I've found annoying with all of this is fans assuming they know everything. Some people may be right, but it's probably out of luck. So you going "I told ya so" thinking you know Dwight's motives when he waived his ETO based on his actions is just old. And it's not just you. But through all of this, I've seen so many fans come up with scenarios, assumptions and fabrications that are based on reports from supposed sources rather than confirmed facts. No one knows crap.
For instance with Dwight and his change of tune from the ETO waiving to now. People try and go and say his motives originally were twisted and his words were disingenuous. And you guys could totally be right. But how about the much more simpler idea that Dwight just changed his mind and regrets waiving his ETO? A lot has happened since his ETO was waived that WE KNOW about (i.e. Stan hanging him out to dry). How about stuff that has happened behind the scenes.
Bottom line, when I see people thinking they know what Dwight's thinking, I say they're full of crap. They may be making a lucky guess, and be right. But we've seen enough scenarios and reports that turn out to be wrong for anyone to have any credibility.
You people need to chill out, stop making assumptions that fit your perception of Dwight, and focus on facts. The fact of the matter is, if the Magic want to keep Dwight, they have a hell lot more leverage to keep him than they did last year. If they want to trade Dwight, they're in a better position to get offers than last year. And it's all because Dwight waived his ETO.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXX: Offseason Edition)
we won't trade him to brooklyn. teams would STILL give up more than brooklyn can even knowing it would just be for a year of dwight. some team will take him for a chance to contend this year. there is absoultely no reason to take brooks (only going to be an average starter) a few late 1sts and whatever other crap just so dwight can get his way. no heres how we need to do it. trade him for the best offer, watch brooklyn eat their cap up signing other players, let dwight play out his deal somewhere else and if he still wants brooklyn so bad let his stupid ass sign for the mle.

because the doctor who performed his surgery would be behind bars if he fabricated the whole thing.
You know it's over when BMP is talking like this...
I was sort of proud of how he stuck to his guns and was the only one saying Dwight would waive that ETO at the time and was proven correct. I had to give him props on that.
This just shows how horrible a person fame has turned D12 into. I think I'll be more disappointed in him over the next few years than the fact that we will be going through YET ANOTHER rebuild after we chased off (in some form at least)another franchise player. I just will hold out hope that Rob will turn this culture around soon. The real fans deserve it.

at this point i don't even think we'll get bynum. dwight is saying he'll only sign in brooklyn so we'll probably only get offers from teams with the understanding they'll only have him for a year. in other words, we'll get lowballed.

Also if brosuard's story is accurate that the nets have moved on without howard then even more teams would be willing to take that risk imo. I mean, it should hold as much water as one of those stories quoting sources that say Dwights leaving right.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXX: Offseason Edition)
It's clear Dwight will be traded this offseason. The problem is again that Dwight seems to be hellbent on one destination...Brooklyn. It's easy to say 'too bad, trade his ass to Milwaukee, LOLZ' but you're not going to get offered jack **** in return if Dwight's only going to be there a season.
We need to hope that the Nets can find a decent 3 or 4-team deal.
I don't know why Brooklyn is **** themselves with these Joe Johnson (and others) rumors. Maybe they don't want Dwight anymore? Or they know no one will help them get Dwight.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXX: Offseason Edition)
just gimme picks lots and lots of picks. I guess if we can maybe get a young star but some people seem to think thats to big a price for a dwight rental. Maybe a bad expiring contract. I want cap space and a very high pick next summer. Instant rebuild. No wannbe stars. I can get excited about a youth movement full of hard working team players.
let paid professionals do their job, don't you try and do it for them...

Or just wait for Billy King to waste his damn money. Once he does that other teams will take the risk with Dwight knowing he wont be able to just walk to Brooklyn with the Nets cap situation.
Somebody needs to offer Lopez a bunch of money lol

because they still have to ensure DWill that they're doing everything they can to build a contender. If DWill re-signs and they don't get Dwight, they're stuck with DWill, Wallace, Lopez.
Nets are in a tough position too. Dwight really screwed everyone when opted-in; including himself, lol.

Anyone else isn't a fan of splitting up the speculation threads ? I don't like switching between two threads all the time.

thing is the nets assests are so bad that their best offer could easily be trumped by a team willing to rent him for just a season. so we really have no reason to trade him to the nets unless we want to accomodate dwight, which doesn't need to happen.

Nice!!! Karma is ugly aint that right Dwight?!
The team you want to play for does not want you!!
I'm actually respecting the Nets for that. Dwight is acting like a little baby and the Nets might actually be thinking "Do we REALLY want that here?"
Not changing this Sig until the Orlando Magic win a championship (Technically Started 1-30-08)
