Wow. Really? Do you really believe that?

I am not sure, Kanter never went to school so I don't know how to gauge him if I use this year he looks pretty bad. Of course he did play behind 2 C's in Jefferson and Favors, I remember when we played him he was having trouble with Kurt Thomas.

Kanter has an extremely aggressive mentality, he has superb rebounding skills, decent scorer up close and he is one of the strongest players in the NBA.

Leonard has to prove something fairly significant before I will say he is better. Coming into the NBA, Kanter was the better prospect.

A question crossed my mind, and curious for input: if Barton weighed 200lbs instead of 175lbs, where do you all think he would have been drafted?

I'd guess late lottery or just outside it. Somewhere from 12-20.

In OT draft news Anthony Davis suffered a severe ankle sprain and will most likely be unable to play in the Olympics/Select team (and I would assume summer league).

I know its only an ankle but hard to read "severely" & not think here we go again.

Ill bet I know the first thought in Monty Williams head when he heard or saw it happen.

Severe ankle sprains can be well, because I am at a lack for a better word, severe. I mean that a potential (emphasis on potential) for six weeks in a walking boot if it is really bad. Steph Curry is actually the first guy I thought of as in, "I hope he doesn't turn out having Steph Curry ankles."

I had a severe ankle sprain a couple years ago and it took nearly 5 months to be able to run again, and almost a full year until the discomfort went away totally. Granted i didn't have access to the same facilities or physiotherapists NBA players do but still, it can be lingering for a looong time.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.

here's a workout video if Lillard:

workout is the right word...working hard it seems

from watching that video, my big concern would be that Lillard doesn't seem to get much elevation on his jumpshot and has a low release point as well. He may need to adjust his shot mechanics. Or not...what do I know

He was working hard, and I did like what I see.. except I agree, that release point is low (and something I had noticed during his highlights).

I think his release is fine. He is not going to shoot over anyone. But, his shot is slow. Game speed is faster and as Nate would say, the popcorn is popping.

yah his release looks low, his shooting elbow is pointing straight out which usually doesn't allow for much arch, but him being able to get off clean looks like he did in college will def be a question mark until we see it live. The good news is Eric Gordon has a similar release and he turned out great.

I remember that Lillard was a big James guy when he was facing the Celtics and Thunder, so I went back to his twitter account to May 17 when the Heat went down 2-1 after Bosh went down and Wade disappeared and Hibbert destroyed them. I gotta say I was pretty surprised by what he tweeted.

@Dame_Lillard: Miami dont want it bad enough, and I'm done defending lebron james

This is probably the best video scouting report I've seen of Lillard:

Something that caught my attention and worth commenting on was his defensive posture was subpar. However you can see in his workout vids that is something he's been working on extensively and in his comments about wanting to improve on defense. I guess we'll se firsthand in summerleague. He might have to guard Austin rivers in his first game.

Interesting, I wonder if Wesley would since Rivers is a SG, but your right about wanting to improve on defense. He even said in the second episode of License to Lillard that he wants to hold the rep that people form Oakland (J-Kidd, GP, Brian Shaw) lock people up. So yea he does seem aware of it.
