It appears right now the Jazz have made some decisions, and they have some additional decisions to make. If I remember correctly 15 roster spots available. Jazz have 12 under contract and have made an offer to Carol, leaving 2 spots left. (They may also want to leave one open like they always have.) Carol received an offer from the Jazz. Here are the remaining four without one yet. Which two would you keep?
Howard
Miles
Ahearn
Murphy
They also have 4 PG's which seems to be an overload. One will most likely be gone to open up one more spot to a player above or....to a free agent shooter?
Watson
Tinsley
What do you think?
Here is what I would do. I think Howard would be a better option if healthy over Miles, and I would waive Watson for Murphy and/or a free agent. If Murphy outplays Howard in preseason and makes the team Howard would be gone to an open spot for a possible free agent.
Kantor would also be gone to the D-league opening up another spot as needed. I just think Kantor is too rough to play with the best of the best and would be better off playing in a league where he can learn and feel good about his development and excel quicker.

Murphy and Tinsley...... I also expect that Bell will be traded, or released, opening up another roster spot......

Bell will be traded or amensty...gives 12 under contract including Carrol. Jazz have to make a decision on MIllsap/Jefferson as Favors is a starter. I think the Jazz sign AK-47 as well to a one year deal with a team option to another year at 5 mil per year. My prediction for the Jazz 2012-2013 team which is NOT what I want to see but I think the Jazz bascially play out next season allowing them 40 mil cap space free agent money for the 2013 free agents.
Predicted Jazz lineup next season (at least start of the season)
PG Williams Watson Tinsley
SG Harris Burks Carroll Murphy
C Jefferson Kanter
PF Favors Millsap Evans
SF Hayward Ak-47 Carroll
I only think Millsap accepts this role as a bench player if the Jazz sign him to a 3-4 year extension at about $8-10 million a year. Deep team with some good defenders but you still have the black hole at center who cant defend the pick and roll. Playoffs with a record of 50-32 but round 1-2 exit.

Miles he still can be the player we all have wanted him to be I think. And he has so much experience already. Then dump bell for anything and sign the new guy.

But that's the problem: he has so much experience already. I don't see any reason to believe he'll suddenly transform into the guy we need him to be so many years into his career. CJ Miles is what he is, and what he is ain't good.
