Ray is this year's Derek Fisher. He just needs to feel some love from the Cs and it is happening. I think, even at 38, Camby is a great fit for us. Plus he is motivated and has not won before. I worry that adding players who won before to a team that just won is a tricky fit.

We have 3.1 mini MLE and VET min - Any player that wants to play for Miami next year need to have their agent call Pat Riley and see which one he can convince Riley to give them, otherwise....we'll wait.

I wouldn't be mad if we didn't get either of those guys, we are just being leveraged to get more money for those players..IMO

Now that you bring this up.... what if Ray is playing defense on us, keeping us from other FA's before he goes back to Boston ?

I think ray is running a diversion to keep us away from other free agents. Kinda like d. wade did with chicago lol.

Why no interest in Pietrus? He can shoot and is an underrated tenacious and lengthy defender who is under the radar. Last i heard, boston hasnt even reached out to him yet.

I still would love to have delonte west backing up Wade and Chalmers, and as insurance in case a PG goes down to injury. If he slips through the cracks and Dallas gets Deron, he will likely be a casualty.

This is what I'm saying too. Pietrus is a viable option. The guy played well in the ECF against us.

There are tons of guys like Battier, Allen, Miller, James Jones, Pietrus..... but there are not tons of guys like Camby.

Yeah it sucks too, Delonte fits our team perfectly. Why did he have to **** Gloria?

Pietrus would be a good fit, and I feel like our chances of getting Ray are slipping away. Not too sure if it's a good idea to drop our mini MLE on Camby.

Camby is really pushing it, he wants our only MiniMLE for 3 years?! the guy is **** 38 years old. no **** way we're giving him a 3 years deal.

Pat needs to talk to him : Marcus Camby has already made 119,024,322 Mil $ in his carrer. (that's just the money he made on the court, u can add alot more for advertising deals).
He's old as ****, so his vertren minimus, if he takes it, will be 1,352,181 Mil $.

Are you seriously telling me that he cant spare that 1.65 Mil $ difference and let us keep our MiniMLE so we could get another player we really need too?

If he isn't willing, at age 38, after all the money he made, to take a little bit less so he could join a great team like ours - i say **** HIM. that will be a HUGE sigh for a guy that only cares about $ and himself, that's not the guy we want around the team.

Pat needs to offer him the Vet Min to come join us and play a big role as a starter Center. if camby doesn't want that - we dont want him here.

Why pietrus? He's a poor man's battier

There are two problems we've always had on this team:
1. lack of size/ big man
2. consistent shooting

Camby or Ray will solve one of those problems. Which is worth more to you guys?

he's very wellcome to join for the vet min and enjoy a great city and a great team at age 38. or..he could take a hike.

I'd take Camby for the MiniMLE. Who else are going to spend it on? It's not like if we only spend part of it we'll get some other player with the money we save. If he won't come here except for the MMLE, I'd give it. We have pretty much no chance of getting any other center this year that actually is good at this point. We don't really need a wing player that badly, we need a center.

I'd take consistent shooting. Our spacing would be much better with Ray and he would help with icing the game with FTs and we could run a play for him if we needed a 3. Camby is good but I don't want a 38 or 39 year old to have a 3 year deal with us.

He's always injured. No one notices because we don't pay him as much as Miller, but Turiaf was always injured. He had some hamstring injury at the end of the season. How the heck did he even get it? He doesn't play enough minutes to be getting injured. PEACE.

Always gets injured, ends up playing through injuries.

Honestly him going to the west is good for us. Dwight always kills us inside. We wouldn't have to face that, though I think if we did we'd still beat whatever team he's on.
