Hmm. That meeting with Nash may have went well then. THey also said they would go after Mayo. Brooklyn has to do this to debut well this season. Lol, Magic should just find their coach and let these chips fall.

Chris Broussard @Chris_Broussard
Source on Nets moving on from possibility of getting Dwight: "Dwight blew it in March'' when he waived opt-out clause.

ATL, LAL, or HOU now is where he ends up.
And if I were him lookin at a this list I would just stay in ORL.

Originated from the nethermost, currently however, our entire squadron is now hither.

Dwight probably just broke his foot kicking a concrete wall after seeing this on his twitter feed...

ou know what? nets are going to be kinda interesting. I've already liked them but check this squad out too
Steve Kyler @stevekylerNBA
RT @daldridgetnt: Current construction of deal would also keep MarShon Brooks, Gerald Green in Brooklyn. Nets want to keep both.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXX: Offseason Edition)
this is a double edged sword for you magic fans....Now dwight can't go to the team he wants to end up in; however, on the other hand, you still got to trade him with lesser leverage in trade talks else he leaves in free agency.

I don't want him back in Orlando. He burned the bridge, ship him for rebuilding assets ASAP.

BadMofoPimp wrote:InFlames wrote:What is the Net's cap situation if they do that deal?
Lets see.
JJ makes $19.5
Deron gets $18 mil starting
Wallace just got $10 mil per
Brooke - $4.2 mil qualifying offer, but Nets could refuse to match or trade.
Outlaw - $4mil per
Marshawn - $1.2
The Top (3) make $47.5 and that would leave about $12 mil free for Free Agents and Dwight Howard. If the Nets get JJ, they are out of the Dwight chase unless the deal is Dwight and JRich for Gerald Wallace, Marshawn and Outlaw and Brooke.
But, there probably will be multiple teams involved.
Something to add to your math, you are using next season salaries, but D12 will be a FA in 2013, so you have to use that year salaries, ie. JJ will make 21.5M

It is kind of funny that teams are putting themselves out of position to make a play for Dwight. Really wierd they would be doing this.

Screw the Nets... they basically screwed us for nothing if this trade goes through.

Well, i wonder what Henny plans to do, i feel like if this Trade goes down, Dwight will be in uniform come October.
To stay in a Magic uniform, may not happen.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXX: Offseason Edition)
Atlanta will talk to Dwight, get in his ear then trade Horford for Ellis. Then Dwight gets to go home and play with 3 of his friends (Morrow, Smith, Ellis).

Al Iannazzone @Al_Iannazzone
If Nets have Deron, Joe J Brook and Gerald Wallace they can't sign Dwight, and they can't do a sign-and-trade unless teams want Brook, etc.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXX: Offseason Edition)
Hawks will have a lot of cap next offseason to re-sign Josh and sign D12 and CP3, they just need to trade Horford, which is pretty easy, IMO.

Maybe Nets think Joe Johnson + Lopez will get us to finally trade Dwight at the deadline...
