Do you think you would do a deal of Anderson & JRich for Garcia & Evans. Not sure the magic would do it, but since Garcia's contract could come off the books next year we might bite.

The Magic "might" do Anderson for Evans?

Evans does not really have a spot on your team as evidence in this thread. Also, Cousins is your franchise. You need to surround him with the best outside shooters like we did Dwight and that will allows Cousins to grow. You would not get Anderson any other way but a S&T.

NO :nonono:

Ok No problem, it was a thought since the Kings are showing interest in Anderson. Anderson would hold more value to your starting lineup than Evans. It is that simple. A stretch 4 that can rebound and post up like Anderson is hard to find.

Just because Evans role is unclear does not mean the Kings need to sell low. Evans holds more trade value than Anderson.

Id think if both teams wanted to do a S&T Id be willing to deal JT. JT would fill a need with Dwight out the door. NO way you come and steal Evans because we like Anderson.

I guess it is all how you look at it. Take it step by step and answer me these questions.

#1 who is the most important player on your team? (I have to assume Cousins because he has the chance to be the next dominant big man)

#2 What is Jason Thompson worth and would it really be that smart to pay him starter money when he should be starting on a team that needs a center?

#3 Since Evans role is unclear do you think your ownership would step up to the plate next season if he gets a large offer? It is hard to imagine that you would want to pay a player large money that plays out of position and does not have a defined role.

#4 Do you want the Kings to over pay like the Magic did?
The Magic PAID big time to develop Dwight. We had to bring in the best stretch 4 in Rashard Lewis and boy did we pay for that. However, at the time that was the best way to get the double teams off of Dwight. Same goes for the development of Cousins. Except the Kings would not have to make the financially bad decision to pay through the nose just to develop Cousins. In Anderson you get a KNOWN player that fills a need to help you develop Cousins. In Evans he cant shoot the 3 pointer so he is not the best player to have on the court with Cousins as he is trying to develop.

#5 By trading Evans for Anderson you get a tremendous return in helping you develop Cousins. PLUS you have a trade chip in Thompson to fill the needs on your depth chart.

IMO why Evans has potential, the Kings need to do everything they can to develop Cousins. Cousins is a rare talent that if developed right can take you to the promise land. Dont' surround him correctly and help him develop his game and you waste a golden opportunity to have a great big man.

#1 Cousins #2 Evans

IMO JT is worth 6-7 per. He is physical and can play Center. Some feel he cant play Center full time, I think he can.

I cant answer what ownership will do because the Maloofs are on a different planet right now. The only thing holding Evans back is a consistent jump shot. If he can develop a shot, his role will be set.

The Kings drafted T-Rob with the 5th pick to pair next to Cousins. It is very likely whoever the Kings bring in (JT or Anderson) they will come off the bench. No way the Kings trade Evans for a bench player. No way!

#5 By trading Evans for Anderson you get a tremendous return in helping you develop Cousins. PLUS you have a trade chip in Thompson to fill the needs on your depth chart.

Kings would rather overpay for JT and keep Evans.

IMO I think TRob has the future at Center moreso that PF. With a 7'1 wingspan and his athletic ability to defend, he would be a great Center in the league starved for them. If I was the Kings I would trade Thompson to the TWolves in an S&T for Beasley. No matter what you do with Evans, Beasley would help your team more than Thompson.

If you play TRob next to Cousins I do not think they will develop well together quickly though they might overtime. If you bring in Anderson to start and TRob to be the #1 back up at PF & Center, you develop both Cousins and TRob in the most efficient and effective manner you can.

I go back to when we had Shaq and although Webber was the best player available and we drafted him, he would have clogged the lane with Shaq there. So Penny made more sense for Shaq's development. Same goes for Cousins. TRob has some great upside, but you have to develop him right and not mess up Cousins in the process.

I would think minutes getting split up in the front court with Trob, Cousins and Anderson would make the Kings a much better team. Especially if you can turn Thompson for a Beasley to start at SF.

If you watched how he handled Zeller's size in the NCAA tournament (hint, he got torched) you wouldn't say that.
