I always thought there was some kind of stat like this when it came to Ray in the AAA ... seems like he barely misses one when in town.

Tim Reynolds ‏@ByTimReynolds
Wonder if this came up in the Heat pitch to Ray Allen: He shoots 51% from 3-point range in Miami -- tops of any NBA city. (Next Toronto, 47)

If u want to play him as a SF, we might as well play Battier instead. he's a better defender. i dont think Rashards has the speed to deal with SF now days.

Kenyon Martin anyone will a good pickup for as a C/PF. guy plays hard.

Yeah I'd rather have K-Mart. Guy plays hard, tough, and can guard multiple positions as well. Occasionally knocks down the mid range jumper. Going into day 3 and still no word on any free agents coming here... just speculation. I hope things pick up soon.

It wasn't the reason. But it was a reason. And I'll take my chances with a team that isn't starting a bum like bibby.

Just hope if we don't get Ray we do go all out to sign Camby and offer the mini MLE.

I'd be bummed out but yeah, thanks for the rings and good memories. I really don't see him leaving though unless it's to go back to Cleveland, which I don't see as long as Dan Gilbert is owning the team.

patience may be key, no one that we acually want will jump at 3 mil. we'll just have to wait and see who takes 3 mill between ray, camby, kaman, jet, ghill...

right now, this is our depth chart, taking out jones and joel for the 8-man playoffs rotation:
rio-cole
wade-miller-harris
bron-jones
battier-haslem
bosh-joel-pittman

i'd feel confident with the exact same team coming back if miller gets completely healed up. we don't need much, just one good swingman player for the mini-mle.

Getting Kenyon Martin would be great imo. Guy can defend multiple positions while giving your team toughness and heart.

I wouldn't mind Ray Ray for the MLE, Rashard for the vet min. He's getting over $100 million lmao, and I think I read he'll take vet min because of his payout.

Chris Tomasson: Source on anyone who thinks Heat can get Allen for $3M & Camby for minimum: "(Camby) would only be interested in Miami for the $3 million.

I think the bigger point is that free agency is going to only supplement the big three.

Whomever you get will only supplement James, Wade and Bosh who will get it done for the team ultimately.

Allen is 37, Camby is 38.

Both can help our team and are great at what they do: Allen with his GOAT shooting, and Camby with his efficient big man production and defense in limited minutes.

I think the mini-MLE is a fair price for both. However, I think it will be harder to get Ray, since he has offers from Memphis, and Boston. paying him much more. Then, you have the KG re-signing factor.

On the other hand, Camby wants to win, but if Houston can bring him back for the right price, he'll take it.

Either way, we need to start getting down to paper work talk/verbal agreements and **** soon. I don't want to be caught up in one guy, have him not sign here, than as a result of being caught up in him, lose out on everyone else.

I'd gladly take Jordan Hill - especially as depth. He had some really good games for the Lakers.

The way guys are getting paid makes me feel like he'll be out of our price range.

let's not overstate Allen and Camby. They're nearing the end of very good careers but their bodies could break down at anytime.

KMart is a thug and getting old don't want.

Lewis - hasn't shown much last couple of years - not a big deal if we don't get him.

Grant Hill as with the first two on the list.

I'm not saying that we shouldn't be looking at these guys but just not to overstate them - if we don't get it's not a big deal. Jamison, billups and Kidd should also be in that list;

Jordan Hill, Karver, Beas, Hinrich, Bass, Mahinmi, Diaw, Dragic, Mayo, ilyasova, Humphries, Kamen, JR Smith, Jameer, Hawes. Should all be contacted first and asked if they'd consider taking much less than their value to get a ring.
