Anderson is restricted, so Kings would have to come up with an offer Orlando would be reluctant to match. If Orlando deals Dwight Howard and is in full rebuild mode, team might pass on matching an offer to Anderson. So the Kings could benefit from all this drama.

Spoke with Petrie about Ryan Anderson: "He was primarily a (PF) in Orlando but he can play some other spots on the perimeter."

BS, as a fan it will suck it hang on another year but as an owner, all that **** would be thrown out the door if he decided to resign because we would be contenders instead of rebuilding searching for a franchise player AGAIN.

one thing though going forward if we decide to keep Dwight...everything about him would just seem fake....everybody's tired of it already.....wasn't it reported that several of Orlando's teammates want him gone? you want to go through an 82 game season with that kind of tension in the locker room?

Won't matter if those teammates are also gone, lol.

None of that would matter because if we did build another team around him in '13, NONE of those players would be here anyway.

Besides, what would you remember more, winning a championship and deep playoff run after deep playoff run or all the negative this past year if he did resign?

My guess would be the playoff runs.

Next season is not about winning the championship... so who cares if there is bad blood in the lockerroom. We need this team to crumble so we can rebuild through the draft.

We can't do this for another year....

Unless it's the best option for the team beyond 2012. Remember, Kobe did this exact same thing not that long ago. I was living in LA at the time and, trust me, the rumors were constant and everywhere. Everyone thought Kobe was gone and then, boom, back to back championships just a season later.

Well, if you guys are up for another year of knowing your team ain't nothing but a facade then by all means have at it. I need to know my team going forward. This **** needs to end. I miss magic basketball. Trades, signings, and discussing the growth and development of players. I'm sick of this drama. We need a team on the floor we can root for.

Why don't you get it? THE DUDE DOES NOT WANT TO BE HERE! PERIOD! Kobe wanted a better team. That's all. DWIGHT WANTS TO GTFO! How many times does he have to say it for you to get it? He wanted to sue the freaking Magic so he could leave! My God, is there this much denial on this board? :eek1:

Of course it would, but what scenario do you see him resigning? And better yet, why would we even be hoping for this? Again, he's asked to be traded, destroyed team chemistry and is now trying everything to get out, yet you wanna keep trying to make this guy happy? The Magic have more respect than that.

Me personally? I've wanted to trade him since last season but I'm looking at this in a management/owners perspective and you guys act like it would be the end of the world if we had to "put up" with another year of "sources" saying "blah blah" and Dwight causing drama with players that wouldn't even be here in another year.

So if the Magic had won the championship in 2009 and Otis hadn't sabotaged the team with two horrible trades - you still think Dwight would want to leave???
Come on! Dwight saw the ship was sinking when Vince Carter froze in the Eastern Conference Finals in 2010. Then Dwight saw the ship going under with the first round playoff exit the following year. Dwight KNOWS how cap-strung the Magic are. He doesn't see a contender here any longer. Couple that with the fact he's in a small market town... He's jumping ship. He wants to play with another superstar in a big market. Orlando doesn't have the means to get another superstar right now. THAT'S why he's jumping ship.
NOT TO PERSONALLY INSULT YOU!! I'm shocked by how irrational and personal some of you are taking this. It's a business. Sometimes you have to call people's bluffs. That's what Rob is feeling out right now.

Lol this might suck... What's worse than two powerhouses in your conference? Two powerhouses in your division... Though idk how either Paul or Howard would be sold on Atlanta.. Not a big market, plus it's ghetto as fuuuu

dwight because it's his hometown and cp3 because dwight and horford would be there and he wants to win. it's not likely but it's not out of the realm of possibility either.

You realize Williams and Howard with other scrubs might win 50 games and be a second round out... News flash, he isn't about winning, he is about making money off shoes... No one wants to play for the nets... Only Dwight, because that's where the Adidas money is
I live rent free in your head. You know who you are :D

Not changing this sig until Magic win a championship. Started 6/26/2015.

Yes it would. It would suck complte and utter ass! Becasue it would mean 2 years of meaningless basketball of a tem going nowhere. That's basketball hell. We wouldn't even get a high pick out of it. Just a mediocre team going nowhere. We have wasted enough time with this. Time to move on
