The problem with Josh has not been SF or PF, he's between two, and sometimes it's better to put him at PF, sometimes at SF.
The real problem has been his choices... and what he was asked to do, because if I agree that he's fantastic near the rim, I disagree with asking him to not shot a 3. It was simply stupid because to not shot a 3, Josh has simply replaced it with long 2s, and since he has almost the same % on long 2s than on 3s, it's a big error.
Launching 30% long 2s is stupid, and opponent will let you do it all night long, but 30% 3s, even if it's not a very good % for a wing player, is not that bad if this player also play PF, and 30% on 3s gives the same production than 45% on 2s, exactly long 2s (we are not talking about his near the rim %).
Since he has more chances to be at 30% on 3s than 45% on long 2s, I hope Drew can tell him to attack the rim only, or make him work again on his 3s, and tell him to attack the rim or shot a 3 if the game calls it, but never try any long 2.
I will go further :
in 10-11 Josh shot 3s at 0.331%, making 51-154, and strangely, he puts his best year at FT% (0.725)
the second bast year at 3s was 05-06 at 0.309% and it was... his second bast year at FT% (0.719)
Linked or not, Josh was better on the line when he was shooting some 3s
