Do you deal for Cliff Lee or Roy Halladay?

So much for the great Philadelphia Experiment. The additions of Roy Oswalt, Roy Halladay, & Cliff Lee have added up to ZERO championships. The fightin' Phils are 33-38. Oswalt is now in Texas. Roy Halladay is 4-5 with 3.98 ERA. Cliff Lee is 0-3 with 3.48 ERA.

I can't see the Phillies not wanting to unload payroll especially with 10-3 Cole Hamels an impending free Agent.

If you were Brian Cashman, you had a second chance to nab a competitive SP to deepen a mixed rotation of youth & experience...would you for one more shot at a World Series?

Let's say the Yanks add Lee or Halladay...that would be #2...and then the rotation looks like this:

1. Sabbathia
2. Halladay or Lee
3. Kuroda
4. Nova
5. Pettitte

Hughes to the pen...

Looks a little more sturdy at the top right? Your thoughts...

Neither but if and only if the Yankees can trade damage goods like Banuelos or Betances. Phillies would want too much and Cliff Lee burned his bridge with NY.

Or...they can offer the same money that they would have to pay Halladay or Lee if they traded for him to Hamels as a free agent.

Hamels in NY...interesting. Can he handle pressure?
