Screw Dwight and the Nets. Trade him to Milwaukee and see how he feels. I bet he would feel like he took Orlando for granted. If the Nets cant sign him in the summer, and he ultimately wants to go there, then we do NOT trade this little scumbag there.

What does this mean.

There isn't great enthusiasm within Magic that the Nets have the ability to make the most appealing offer for Dwight Howard, sources tell Y!

It means Woj is a Nets homer, so he is looking at the offer through Nets-colored glasses. It's still early IMHO.

I wonder if the Knicks are in the race. Amare/Chandler/and a pick sound alot better then any of the other offers so far. Sure chandler is aging, but he can be the floor general we've never had.

^ there is no imminent reason as to why we should be trading for expirings in current conditions. maybe jrich, but no need to give up additional assets to send hedo or duhon...especially duhon.

Terrific system you have, Commissioner Stern, in your 5-team super league.

It's pretty rare I agree with Schmitz, but in this case...the new CBA certainly did accomplish something, didn't it?

Yeah the Mavs have nothing, unless they are throwing Dirk at us and even then that is nothing because all he would do is make us a middle of a road team until he retires in a few years.

Bill Simmons ‏@sportsguy33
Only 3 Dwight deals make sense: 1) Blake/DeAndre; 2) Bynum; 3) Horford/Teague + picks. I'm not listening to any other rumors. Thanks anyway.

I think their idea is pair Dirk with D12 + Nash/Deron. Imagine what D12 could do playing with Dirk? He almost made Ryan an all-star...

But they have nothing to offer us, their offer would be worse than Nets'.

It would be more like imagine what Howard would do with 2 legit PGs.

Also yeah the Mavs have nothing. I could see that conversation now:

Mavs "We want Howard."
Magic "What are you offering?"
Mavs "Air?"
Magic "....."
Mavs "Hello?"

Oh God no, Amare's knees are a trainwreck waiting to happen, and his contract is uninsurable.

either one sounds better than what the Nets can offer, me personally prefer the Clipps option, then 3rd option the best.

I think I rank them just as he has them - Clips, Lakers, Hawks. I'd much rather trade him out west somewhere than into the same conference / division.

Griffin is an overrated flopper, but it would still be hard to pass up. Clippers wouldn't trade him anyway. The Hawks deal is decent.

The move would be the Nets' second blockbuster trade this week and could give them a big three of Howard, Deron Williams and Joe Johnson that could rival the NBA champion Miami Heat's heralded trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
....

Best joke I've heard all day

A) Nothing is happening this week

B) LOL @ competing with Miami

The longer we hold on to Dwight the more people/media/NBA teams will get pissed off and we will receive better offers.

He has the worst contract in basketball and in a few years when he's in his 30's and no longer playing like an all star he'll be getting paid over $20 million a season?
