this concerns me a lot. it is what it is, people have to see this more clearly. lifestyle and location matters to young millionaires. orlando will never win a battle against la or new york without overpaying. not as bad as sac or toronto or cleveland, but still.

Ok, I went back and read some of the pages I missed and I at least get that he has to listen. I still don't think there is a scenario that is better than waiting from anyone, but that is jmo and i see why people wouldn't want to deal with dwight antics. I don't see why we can't do things ourselves to counter his antics. He will be a cancer and disruptive? We can start O'Quinn over him and give him 7 mins a game. Wonder if he makes the all star team averaging 6 points a game. If he does something to react to that, then fine/suspend him like Stern does. The coach can use him however he wants. If he wants back in the starting lineup then he agrees to be a professional.

Okay, I know we can't really do that, but I don't think he would do anything stupid to mess up his stats. It will be interesting to see, wherever he ends up, if he will be the leading vote getter again in all-star voting. Is his popularity really taking a hit? I don't think casual fans care about all this, and aren't paying attention to this debacle.

I just heard the news... can somebody tell me why the F we're talking to the Nets now after we boldly ignored them before? Please tell me this is just a strategic move by Henny to get the other team to make offers sooner rather than later. If you were going to deal with Nets it should have been with Hedo and Duhon in the deal... now you can't do that with Johnson's monster contract. WTF.

I'd say Dwight is gone before September.

I think Dwight is a strange teammate that the other stars don't like. The Olympic Team formed some strong bonds, but Dwight appeared to be an outsider. I remember watching some video clips of the team bonding and stories about the players making pacts. Dwight wasn't much of any of it. I think he's very immature and strange, hence he doesn't attract other players.

Whether he's traded before the season starts or not, I think he's already played his last game in a Magic uniform. Based om Henny's comments he wants guys who want to be here and who stand for the right things.

I think he's traded by the end of August, but if he isn't I still don't think he is a part of the team except on paper.

I understand. For every Duncan, Kobe and Dirk, there are twice as many LeBron's, Bosh's, Carmelo's, etc.

Maybe all changed after Atlanta cleared cap. Fegan called up Rob to tell trade D12 now to the Nets or he walks to Atlanta next year and you get nothing.
Rob calls the Nets to explore if there is anything that can be done that makes sense for us. That's all.

:banghead:

Just wondering, can teams go back on their verbal agreement? Like can the Nets cancel the Joe Johnson trade? Because if we're trading Dwight to Nets, we need to discard bad contracts and get back expirings, not worthless draft picks.

If Lakers were offering Bynum, I think deal would've been done already.
