i don't care really. people say the derby throws off a hitters timing for the rest of the season but imo that's utter crap. i hope he puts on a show and wins.

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

Since the Jays are wasting his career years anyways, he has the all the right to go out there, have some fun, and enjoy the bright lights for a weekend.

I am also in the boat that I hate this decision. I hate these All Star games and everything that goes along with them though. Sports would be much better if they got rid of these stupid games.

it's the least stupid all-star game around, since it actually means something. the only one worth watching.

Eh, let him have his shine, he really deserves it.

But...does anyone remember that huge HR drought he had immediately after the Derby last year? IIRC, he didn't hit a HR for the rest of July. It'll be interesting to see how he performs this time.

Make sure Bautista brings a decent bp pitcher instead of our bullpen catcher.

He's starting to think of the name on the back of the jersey.

Dude wants to compete. This lets him compete in something. Did you roll your eyes at him when he told the US media he wants to win now?

You are the absolute worst.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

That awful bullpen catcher better not be throwing again.
