Lewis
Is anyone else super excited about the prospect of picking up Lewis? It would solve our Center problem without getting a Center. Bosh and Lewis frontcourt would be absolutely ideal for Wade and Lebron. It would open up the middle soo soo much. We could even have Lebron running as point forward again where he is so dangerous.
We're going to need a solution for a guy like Howard especially if he goes to the Nets. What better solution than to get him out of the paint on the defensive end.
We aren't going to get a true center with the way they're being paid(see Asik). I am super excited about the prospect of having a Bosh Lewis frontcourt.

Re: Lewis
Dont get too excited about Rashard Lewis, his best days are behind him. he's 33 and just had a very bad year.
BUT, If he's got something left in the tank, and would get re-motivated by playing for a contnder, i'll gladly take him for the Vet Minimum. he wouldnt ask for more then that, and for the vet min he'll be a nice pickup.

We should go for all 3.
Ray Allen for MiniMLE
Camby for Vet Min or 2.9Mil$ disabled player exception we get for Mikemiller
Rashard Lewis for Vetren Minimum.
And call it an off-season.

Re: Lewis
Camby will only play for us if he gets the 3mil. That's what his agent said.
I want Camby more than anyone right now.

6'9" is a good size for a PF isn't it? Bosh is 6'11" and has stated he will play center next year if needed. But yeah if he's past his time and it wasn't just a bad situation last year obviously it's not a good fit.
I don't think I like the idea of Camby coming over, he's just going to clog the middle and is not a good pick n roll guy for Lebron.

Re: Lewis
**** Camby. like i said before, if he's not willing to take a little less to play for a contnder in a great city after making over 120,000,000$ in his career, i dont want him here. he's 38 years old, we shouldnt give him a 3 years deal.
Camby for Vet Min
Or
For 2.9Mil$ disabled player exception.
That's it.
We could probably trade for Dalembert mid-season if we feel the need.

When we signed Chris Bosh, he clearly stated he did not want to play Center. His position is PF, and that's where he can exploit mismatches.
He played Center to save our asses, but let's not ignore our hole at the Center position to add another wing player which we already have some of... and can easily find in free agency.

Lewis doesn't have the shot he used to have, and that's all he had going for him..
Please get Camby and/or Allen, before truly considering Lewis..

he changed his stance once he realized that playing center made him a champion. he even said "it's kinda cool to be called the starting center of a championship team". also go read pat riley's interview from a couple of days ago and the interview with miami's scouting director before the draft. bosh is our center now.

You do not know what you are talking about. He is a good passer with a good 16-18 foot jumper.

He doesn't have a pick n roll game, never has. Living in TO I saw a ton of him in his early years. He's 38 years young and has bad knee's. I don't understand why people are still high on him. JO had much more potential when we signed him then Camby does now.
I honestly don't see how he fits into our offence or defence at this point in his career.
