UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS - Guards/Forwards

Marquis Daniels
Michael Redd
Chauncey Billups
Carlos Delfino (36% career 3pt shooter)
Gerald Green
Mikael Pietrus
Leandro Barbosa (39% career 3pt shooter)
Rudy Fernandez

i can keep going for a long time. The list of NBA Unrestricted free agents that play Guard/Forward is long. THIS IS NOT HARD TO FIND A GUARD/FORWARD to shoot 3pters and play a little defense.

Now try and find me a Marcus Camby. and consider that we already have Battier, Jones, and Miller on the roster.... but our center is Joel Anthony and Dex Pittman.

it makes no sense. I think Riley and some of you fans are too much in love with "Ray Allen! Hall of Famer!" and not looking at the bigger picture here. I'd like to see this team play with a legitimate Center for once.

I thought Miller was getting surgery and/or retiring?

OT but it's kind of funny what Toronto is doing right now with that $20m offer sheet for Fields

Bill Simmons ‏@sportsguy33
Kudos to Toronto: Any time you can spend $20 mill on an 11th man to pave the way to spend $36 mill on a 39 year old PG, you have to do it.

Honestly I love that they tried to sabatoge New York a little there.

So you wouldn't want Ray Allen backing up Wade and extending Wade's career?

Wer'e probably just gonna end up starting Joel for the regular season and then put Bosh at C for the playoffs

bosh is our center now. permanently, for 38 mins a night. exactly like how kg is boston's center now. look at bosh's draft measurements, he's a 7-footer: http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Chris-Bosh-1740/

When Bosh signed with us, he made it clear he wanted to play PF and not Center.

I feel like a broken record. Whatever.

Bosh will not last at Center in a 82 game season .. BOOK IT.
Also KG is moving back to PF.

And Jamison? or are we?

You know Pat Rileys MO, whoever he finally signs, he will spin it as if he was speaking to that player all along. He will never really admit that a player actually turned us/him down. Like another poster said, there are more people/players still wanting to BEAT us than play with us.

My money is still on these guys using us as leverage, hope I'm wrong.

P.S. That BS Doc said about not knowing, that's a Pat Riley move right there.

Marc J. Spears ‏@SpearsNBAYahoo
Celtics are in final discussions on terms of a multi-year deal with Mavericks free agent guard Jason Terry, sources tells Yahoo! Sports.

WOW if this is true there really isn't a better option for Ray than Miami... unless he goes to the Clipps to start. That team would be scary.

Keep in mind Celtics coach Doc Rivers said he wanted both Ray Allen & Jason Terry in this recent Yahoo! Sports story:

A big man should be #1 priority. If we lose out on camby I think Riley should wait for brendan Haywood to get amnestied by the mavs. Riley went after him a few years back and if he is still getting his money from the mavs he could be signed cheap. Get Haywood and Lewis for vet min and wait to use the mini mid level till later on in the offseason when a veteran point might have to take less than market value.

Amnestied players are bid on by teams under the cap. We won't have a chance to snag him because he won't get past waivers

According to Broderick Turner from latimes.com:
The Clippers plan to offer Crawford the mid-level exception that starts at $5 million. The Clippers are willing to offer Crawford, a 6-foot-5 guard, at least a three-year deal, sources said. The Clippers also are planning to offer a contract to Chauncey Billups, sources said. Billups, who is recovering from a torn left Achilles’ tendon injury, will get a one-year offer from the Clippers for about $4 million, sources said.

Welcome to the Heat Ray! 8-)
