Calm down. Nothing has happened yet.

The Nets have gotten close to getting Dwight Howard a million times. We even "acquired" him at the deadline.

Lets wait till Lakers.com says "Lakers have acquired Dwight Howard".

Look, Lakers are willing to do the deal even if Howard doesn't resign because they could just easily do the deal with NETS after/during the season via trade or s&t. Orlando doesn't want to do the deal with the Nets...that doesn't mean that Lakers wouldn't do it!

The Magic doesn't want to send him to his team of choice. But the Lakers are not emotionally or sentimentally involved with Dwight like that! Mitch aint like that!

I say Mitch does the deal and hope Dwight signs. But if he doesnt, trade him to the Nets. The Nets were willing to give a team in the same conference its 1st born...why not a team that is NOT in its conference, huh?

Perhaps it's time Jerry Buss intercedes.

Then they end up with Brook Lopez instead of Bynum so they can rent Dwight Howard for a year.

Not the best idea...

That's basically trading Bynum for Brook Lopez.

Please edit your post and take that out immediately.

I'd rather keep Bynum, fire Brown and look to trade Gasol for more depth.

Btw. Its also worth pointing out that if Howard were traded to the Lakers; he'd more than likely sign. There is no way that drama queen is turning down the money and security after a year in LA. In the end, money talks.

Well if Deron does sign in Brooklyn Howard's leverage is gone entirely.

 I know. But the Nets were willing to give Orlando the kitchen sink. Lopez, Humphries, Brooks, AND 3 first rounders???? Thats alot!!! Thats if Dwight DOESNT resign. I'd take that chance. Sorry.

How much money does Howard stand to lose if he doesn't sign with the team who has his bird rights?

It's not even his contract...the amount of endorsements he would receive in LA is off the charts.

I want Bynum gone, and if Dwight ends up coming for 1 year and leaving it wouldn't be beneficial, but blowing it up entirely is better than hoping Kobe at 34+ can make something happen.

Should we care if he leaves or not ?

the last image i saw of Bynum in the playoffs was him laughing as he walked off the court.

Do the math.
