ATL traded Joe Johnson for Jordan Williams (who? a backup big), Johan Petro(backup big), Jordan Farmar(backup point, salary dump), Anthony Morrow(3 point spec), a re-signed Deshawn Stevenson (not special) and Houston's 2013 (protected) first round pick in the proposed deal. So 1 good player and a protected pick?
How does that equal Jo Johnson? If they were dumping, why didn't the Rockets get involved? They have contracts, picks and back-up players to trade.
I hope the people of ATL riot till ATL takes back the trade.

Really? They got joe Johnson's contract off their books?...he's good but that contract was almost as bad as amares(IF HE KEEPS PLAYING LIKE HE DID LAST SEASON)

And JJ has literally been a scrub in the post-season the past four years.

i would never think anyone would want rashard's and jj's contract before the expiring year. the hawks def won this trade. all that cap space. how the **** do teams find buyers for this ****? god daam, they gotta be on some hardcore crack cocaine or something

but i dont think he's been a scrub in the playoffs. he's been alright i think. cant elevate his game but still productive enough to make an impact

Perhaps scrub is a bit of a hyperbole...but around 17 PPG on .480 TS% average the past four playoff runs is pretty gross. Even his playmaking ability has regressed in the post-season. :o

Nash is a Laker

No, this is not an Off Topic Thread.

The Lakers now have Steve Nash. What this means for us is that WE HAVE FINALLY SEEN THE END OF THE LOWRY/GASOL TRADE THREADS!!!!

Does Nash going to LA mean they are more likely to match our offer for Jeremy Lin?

How about Kyle Lowry for Iman Shumpert and whatever the Knicks were offering for Nash?

or do they just bring back Raymond Felton?

What do you mean does it matter?
I know we are in rebuilding mode.
Shumpert is a nice 21 year old combo guard.
If they were willing to give him up for Nash then maybe they would give him up for Lowry too.

It will be easier to tank without Lowry and Scola than with them

when you have a player who doesn't want to be here
it's pretty easy to lose

While I'm glad we wont be going after gasol or trading lowry this pisses me off. Everyone else is getting better... we're getting Jeremy Lin...
