Hargrove suspension upheld

Post#1 » by 0BobLobLaw0 » Tue Jul 3, 2012 8:01 pm

I just saw Wilde tweet that the suspensions are being upheld.

My money is that he never plays a down for the Pack.
Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed? You don't need double talk... You need Bob Loblaw.

He's on a vet min deal and doesn't take up a roster spot. Why would we cut him?

I guess I don't really understand why they cut him now. What did it cost to keep him around as an insurance policy?

Hargrove was well-liked among the players and added a lot of enthusiasm in practice, but it was clear that he started to get frustrated with the lack of snaps he was getting. The Packers made it clear that he wasn't going to see much time because of his eight-game suspension for his role in 'bountygate", but it's hard for a guy not to be able to compete.

When the Packers signed Hargrove, they did not know he would be suspended for eight games. They had to know he was going to get some kind of suspension, but they obviously don't think he's worth keeping around on the reserve list.

Over the last week, Hargrove was clearly frustrated with his practice time. In one practice, he kicked his helmet after not getting any reps in the one-on-one pass rush drill.

Then last week, he appeared to get in a dust-up with defensive line coach Mike Trgovac, who wanted him to play scout team and could be heard yelling, "Anthony, Anthony" all the way down on the opposite end of the field. Hargrove seemed to ignore Trgovac's call for him to go in and the two had words on the sideline.

After practice, Hargrove was vehement that nothing happened and that Trgovac was just looking for him. He said Trgovac was always calling his name out in practice.

Defensive coordinator Dom Capers said at the time that he wasn't aware of any issue that occured and said Hargrove was an emotional player.

Hargrove was the only healthy player not to play against the Bengals.

Taylor was the starting left tackle while Marshall Newhouse was out with a concussion, but he clearly wasn't up for the job. He gave up a numnber of pressures against San Diego and eventually gave way to rookie Andrew Datko.

The Packers decided neither was the answer and signed free agent Reggie Wells, who served as the backup against Cincinnati Thursday night.

Brewer was a waiver pick up that the Packers wanted to take a look at. He played quarterback and receiver at Northwestern and was looked at mostly as a special teams player.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Taylor seemed to be a guy a lot of people were penciling onto the 53. Wonder who makes it instead.

Wow, I stand corrected. I'll take a hefty serving of crow now. Here's your money:
