No more JET!

I for one am happy that the Mavs didnt re-sign him. He was a terrible teammate last season with his little "Pay Me" cries over the entire season and was a terrible defender throughout his tenure here. Delonte was a much more productive player, so hopefully we can get him back.

Still got to remember the fact that he was our 2nd option for a long time. Got to give credit where credit is due

How quickly we forget all the good he did for this organization. Which I don't think the deal is finalized yet because being the classy guy JET is he said he was going to give the Mavs a chance to match. Either way though JET will always be an all time Mav great!

35 when the season starts, massively undersized for a SG, horrible defensively, one-dimensional and his one-dimension - scoring - has declined 3 years in a row, etc. so why would we want to have him on the roster for 3 more years? Tks for the memories.

Yep those greener pastures which include the likes of Brandon Roy, Josh Howard, Thabeet, Pryzbilla...

Yep, players we don't have to overpay and be stuck with for the next three years.

sigh--you guys are so going to miss Jet and everything he brought to this franchise on and off the court. So he likes to run his mouth and get paid--thats part of what makes Jet special. It probably is time to turn that page but we are going to miss him on the court and Im looking forward to his banner going up alongside Dirk's someday.

He gets my standing O every single time he steps on the court here.

If Dallas doesn't get Deron and Dwight both they will be stupid not to have matched JETs 3yrs/15million offer from Boston. Jet is a complete bargain at that price especially compared to Joe Johnson or Steve Nash at the expected 3yrs/36 million he will recieve.
I was all for Jet leaving when I thought he would demand 3yrs/30million but not at this bargain price.
Dallas will miss him next season in a big way.

I wanna know how Fields got more money then JET. But hey its Toronto, a losing franchise.

Ill miss JET, and game 6 of the finals will always be played over in my head, but its time to go. whether we contend or not this year, we have to AT LEAST get younger..and hopefully better.

Stupid thread, the guy was another huge part of our championship run and has been a great player for this organisation for years. Whilst he's talked out of his backside at times, he'll always be a mav to me.

Best of luck to him in Boston.

At this point, we owe Jason Terry far more than the respect he is getting right now. We've been trying to get rid of him for too many season, dating back to Devin Harris' tenure on this team, yet he continued to be the 2nd best Mavericks throughout most of his time here. He helped lead us to 2 finals trips, and one championship, which is something we have NEVER had as a Dallas basketball franchise. Forget the fact he was undersized, his lack of defense, point guard skills or any of his shortcoming, the guy was a constant professional, a true leader and one of the best Dallas Mavericks through the 2000s.

This is certainly not the time to be bashing Jason Terry. He gave his all to Dallas and will be extremely missed by the organization.

This.

Thank, you PG01

I don't know what the future holds for the Mavericks, but if we do end up declining, how about let's do it with a little dignity. I'm upset, and I think the FO needs to get busy or earn the wrath of their fans, but let's not look like a bunch of wankers, ok? My issue is with the FO, not the players, at this point.

Terry when you were on you were on and when you were off you just plain sucked. Thanks for being on all playoff long in 2011 but quite frankly get the hell out of town and take your 3-13 nights with 4 turnovers with you.

I was tough on Terry but to his credit I think he was always asked to fill a role that was too big for him.
Coaches (Avery and RC) always turned to him to be the #2 goto guy when he should have been a 3rd option.
Under the circumstances I think he did okay as a whole

Remember when he said, not sarcastically, that if he needs to sacrifice himself and shoot 30 shots per game, hell, he'll do it. The guy is all about the team.

Thank you JET for everything! He was an important piece to our championship. A clutch player, our 2nd best in team. So, please respect him, even tho he wasnt my favorite Maverick player either.
