The issue isn't whether Orlando prefers LA's deal or not, its whether Dwight will accept to resign with the team...

If he doesn't commit, then we will trade him in February, no big deal.

Nah that's questionable. The deal would then have to be something like Brook Lopez and those first. I don't really want that.

That's a big no. You are not getting a player of Bynum's caliber in return...

Heard a rumor that Humphries can't be included in a large-scale S and T. Lakers would be wise to go get him for the mini MLE.

Based on what Jared Rudolph is saying, my guess is that Howard will end up with the Lakers.

It does still seem that Pau will be dealt. His time with the franchise appears done, for whatever reason.

Maybe. L.A. may not want to mess with the possibility of a championship and could instead look for a way to add Michael Beasley. I realize expenses are a big part of any arrangement, but there's potential in trading Blake+a future pick or amnestying Metta in a year.

If we land Howard we should keep Pau unless we can net another all-star + role player. Pau + Howard is just scary.

Pau's contract is just too big, plus he's a whiny bleep for most of the year.

I don't trust Pau anymore to be honest, he must go no matter what.

There are packages out there for him I'm sure. Ferry was going to trade Smith for Pau but Lakers wanted filler players in the deal.

I would trade him for that Minny deal. Once Pau is gone and Metta is amnestied the team will add a transition element to the team.

If this really goes down, does that mean OKC has no reason to amnesty Perkins anymore?

See, I don't trust Pau either as a 2nd option. Even if he doesn't score, you can still run an offense through him while Kobe is resting. You can't really run an offense through dwight like you can Pau.

In the event that Dwight Howard is traded to LA, Pau or Josh Smith must be his front court mate OR he is not going to resign..Its that simple...

If we could could amnesty Metta, trade Pau for expirers, and get Dwight to take a little less money........................CP3 might be in reach

it is impossible to have Kobe, Paul and Howard on the same roster.

People said the same thing about LeBron Wade and Bosh.

Kobe 30
CP3 for 12-14 starting
Get Dwight to resign for 12-14 starting(we will have his Bird Rights wont we?)

Jarrod Rudolph's now officially saying he thinks Dwight will end up in LA.
