"This looks damn good to me" LBJ on Ray wearing Heat jersey

Post#1 » by raps_aviator » Wed Jul 4, 2012 3:05 am

Lebron just posted a picture of Ray Allen on facebook in a heat Uniform and captioning it as "This looks damn good to me"
He is constantly publically recruiting Ray Allen.

With Terry going to BOS, I'm pretty confident this will happen.

Unless of course Cuban makes it a SG swap.

I don't understand why they want Ray Allen so bad. I understand he's a great player but they already have Mike Miller, James Jones and Shane Battier at the 2 and 3 positions that can knock down 3's. Meanwhile their center position is a mess and despite Chalmers' hot shooting in the Finals, he has not proven to be capable of running a team. With their cap situation, they don't have the flexibility to address more than one need. So why are they using their current most valuble asset (MLE) on a player who plays the same position as their best players?

Why? AB is out until December. At least Ray will be able to start here once again.

have you not watched the playoffs where bosh played center, wade defended point guards and lebron played everywhere? miami feels their stars are versatile enough to match with anybody on defense. what they want over everything is players that can space the floor for their stars to operate. ray allen is the best choice for that, they'll close games with big 3 + battier and ray allen and let the other team figure out how to defend that.

The way Heat are constructed they will always need shooters, and now we are talking about a great shooter so that is a given. I don`t know if you have been watching much Heat ball but Miller has been banged up all season, and is currently considering retirement, meanwhile Jones plays spot up minutes. Most good centers are out of our price-range so we are more than fine playing small ball with Bosh at center. Chalmers won`t be running no team as long as Bron and Wade is on it . They used their MLE on a SF and not a center, and look how that turned out

Ray Allen is much better than James Jones and Mike Miller in my opinion. And like the other guy said a lineup of the Big Three + Ray and Battier would be incredibly hard to defend. Signing him even though you already have guys capable of knocking down threes is only a plus when you take into consideration he's not going to be playing for a team that can potentially knock you out of the playoffs.

Lebron is the real Tarantula of the NBA, Ray's not doing any more visitations. Staying in Lebron's villa.
Ray can create his own 3's plus he's a shooting hall of famer, that's just something the Heat don't have outside Lebron and Wade.

You said "Can" knock down 3's, miller back is a career threatening injury and besides that epic performance in the finals, battier and miller we're extremely inconsistent

Chalmers fell off hard after the all star break and Jones doesn't see the floor too much

Allen "Does" knock down open 3's

Watching Rondo just stand there and flick a pass to a contested ray allen 3 and get the assist must make LeBron drool at the thought, so many open 3's in miami and more have to fall down

Allen and Camby would be a dream come true
