Nash would be cool... Maybe he could be a player/coach...

Because otherwise I'm afraid Brown would screw it up.

It's only an "offer sheet," which is what restricted free agents sign after their original team makes a qualifying offer. After RFAs sign the offer sheet, the original team can match the offer and retain them. It's a lot of money for NOH to pony up, but I thought they made it pretty clear that they will do it.

39 year old Nash vs. 23 year old Westbrook. Doubt the deal goes through anyways.

I love Nash ... But just don't see him coming to LA ... Unless he decides that he really wants a champion ship over money and beleives LA is his best option for one.

Could you imagin a line up of ...

C: Dwight Howard
PF: Josh Smith = in a trade from Gasol
SF: Meta World peace
SG: Kobe
PG: S. Nash

with R.Sessions coming in back up for nash ...
= champion ship team their :)

Man screw this offseason already bring on next season lol
My Go Team

That's lightyears away from happening. Remember, we haven't signed/made any trades yet.

Suns Beat Writer.

The Lakers & Nash are interested in a sign-and-trade. Sounds like there's no way Sarver would do that for the ‪#Suns‬ rival.

Its fun to imagine but its hard to see it happening. However Mitch's magic wand brought both Nash and Howard to the Lakers then he should get a statue in front of the Staples Center, have his favorite suit retired, and get a star on a sidewalk somewhere in Hollywood.

I hear Mitch's favorite suit is a trench coat. Apparently that's how he rolls.

You are aware that none of these guys are under contract with LA right? Do you guys fact check b4 posting?

If the Lakers could land Nash it would be insane...

Dwight being a Laker or not wouldn't really matter.
(If it even mattered in the first place)

Nash would make Bynum look like Wilt Chamberlain out there. LOL

Are YOU aware that there's something called a "sign & trade" deal where you can sign your free agents and trade them??? Even David Aldridge suggested this possibility with these 3 players. Maybe you should "check your facts" before you post 8-)

Lakers need to get younger. Nash is just a stop gap. Lakers are not going to make it far into playoffs with or without him. Suns can offer a pay day. Lakers can not do that. Nice rumor for one day. There will be more this week and next and all will be the same. Worthless and will never happen. Lakers should keep Hill and Sessions and try to build with some youth. Even if it is not the best youth.

Got to blame Kobe, making way to much money and until he is off the roster. lakers are stuck.

I agreed with you about almost everything except the last part lol. Do you not realize who Kobe is lol? If anything he's UNDERPAID. It's not his fault he signed a deal that was perfectly fine before the new CBA came in. No one complained about him signing that deal at the time did we? He's some of the problem, not all. I know for a fact Kobe's gunna come and work his ass off not only in practice, but during each game as well to earn every bit of that 20+ million contract. Can't say the same about the guys making 19mil or 16 mil though.

Anyway i agree about Nash. I mean he would make our offense actually look like an offense lol. Plus he would get the ball outta Kobe's hands and get him some easier shots which is a plus. Allows Kobe to focus on the one thing he does best, which is scoring, and Nash can handle the facilitating and getting everyone involved part.

I wouldn't mind Lowry though. I had a chance to check him out and he's pretty good. An upgrade from Sessions. He can shoot, facilitate, and play DEFENSE which is what we need. We complain about getting ate up by Lawson, Westbook, CP3, and all the other point guards, well Lowry is one of the better defensive PG's in the league. Plus he only makes like 5 mil, so he's cheap.

But hey if we can get Nash, i'm all for it, but i'm thinking not only long term but about MONEY which is what some Lakers fans seem to forget. Can't just go around signing all these top stars and throwing them all this money without regards to the salary cap etc.

Are YOU aware that the Suns have no interest in those three players? They would more likely let Nash walk for free than take those players back and tie up cap money that they can be using elsewhere.

The Suns have no incentive to facilitate a trade with the Lakers. If they want them, they have the cap space to pursue them outright. If you want the Suns to help you sign Nash, you have to give them real incentive (ie a pick).

My god. If this is what you meant when you were talking about your trade suggestions the other day, you need to stop posting for a while.

Let's just take Westbrook for a TPE! It's so easy, why hasn't Mitch thought of it!?!?!?

For one thing, none of those players are attractive to PHX, outside of maybe Hill. Another is that they haven't even been signed yet, so if you were banking on a S&T to get this done, you better hope another team doesn't overpay for any of them.

https://twitter.com/#!/paulcoro A Suns beat writer just tweeted a a couple hrs ago that the Lakers and Nash are interested in a S&T. Dont know what the Lakers can would give up but it would great to get Nash for 2 yrs and bring back Sessions to back him up and learn from him and take over eventually.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
