Green

The Salt Lake Tribune learned Saturday that San Antonio guard Danny Green (restricted free agent) and veteran guard Roger Mason have interest in Utah. Green received a $2.7 million qualifying offer from the Spurs. But he’s open to exploring his options and a league source close to the guard believes Green could be a perfect fit for a Jazz team that enters free agency needing to address 3-point shooting and perimeter defense — two of Green’s main strengths.

I think Green would be a great fit here in Utah. He has what we are looking for a premiter defender and a 3 point threat. I think if we can him we could have a team that finishes 5 or maybe 4 in West.

I'd rather sign Gerald. Nets might let him walk if they want humpries more.

Green has way more upside in his game then Gerald has. But if Green fails Gerald would be a nice pick up as well, do a sign and trade with AK.

You're really saying Danny Green has more upside than Gerald Green? Disappointing as he may be, Gerald Green still has all-star potential even if it's incredibly unlikely (not saying he'll be an all-star, but thats the definition of "upside"). He's one of the leagues best athletes, and can shoot. I think he could at least be a really good defender with the right coaching.

Yes Gerald has great upside but with Danny just playing with the Spurs reaching the Western Conference Finals and playing for Coach Pop I would rather pay for his experience and his game matching the Jazz system but both would do wonders for the Jazz.

Roger Mason would be a great fit as well. I've always wanted the Jazz to sign him (and you all know how I feel about Danny Green).
