Re: Lewis
Lewis would be a guy who hardly plays.
Heat would get him for the vet min only. Meaning he would take Curry's or Juwans position, and you guys are talking about his pick & roll game

Got a bit off topic, we're talking about Cambie's pick n roll game or lack there of.

Re: Lewis
Lewis for anything over the vet minimum would be overpaying. Dude can't shoot or rebound his position. He would literally be just a tall guy who could be on the court sometimes.
Steve Novak is about 100 times better.
Maybe Riley thinks he can salvage him?

Boris Diaw sucked with the Bobcats, but as soon as he got to the Spurs and got re-motivated he showed he can really help them. he played very well in the playoff. the talent was always there..he just needed to dig it out.
Same thing can happen with Lewis, and for the Vet min it's worth the risk. we have nothing to lose.

Guy is only 32 years old, and will be playing for another contract.

Couldn't we keep Moultrie instead ? Lewis is done, he's been sucking for several years now...

Re: Lewis
Honestly if his jumper is broken, he is basically damaged goods. On the other hand we are paying Curry to sit around so if he does work this off season, we should at the very least extend the vet min to him

Re: Lewis
Rashard Lewis? Alright, fine.
Pros - At a legitimate 6'10, he is a true power forward that can spread the floor and provide excellent spacing for LeBron and Dwyane, as well as Bosh. He's not exactly a relentless rebounder, but when his motor is running, he can provide some as well as some added length in the frontcourt. With a limited role on this team, he can provide for us what Lamar Odom provided for the Lakers once Pau Gasol came to town: a player not depended upon to carry a certain amount of scoring, but will certainly contribute.
Cons - He may be 6'10, but he's not exactly Reggie Evans on the boards. Defense isn't his forte, but when he's in the right system with a focused and mature cast of players, he'll contribute and perform to the best of his ability.

You do not know what you are talking about. He is a good passer with a good 16-18 foot jumper.
He doesn't have a pick n roll game, never has. Living in TO I saw a ton of him in his early years. He's 38 years young and has bad knee's. I don't understand why people are still high on him. JO had much more potential when we signed him then Camby does now.
I honestly don't see how he fits into our offence or defence at this point in his career.
How can you not see how defense, rebounding, shotblocking, & a decent 16-18 foot jumper would help?

Do you think that Anthony is a better player then Camby?

Yeah he's an obvious offensive upgrade to a guy like Anthony, and would definitely help in those aspects. But Anthony didn't play a minute in the finals with Bosh starting at Center. Spo went away from the tradition center for the end of the playoffs to provide more space up the gutt.
