Tim Lincecum

Post#1 » by TheLowlySquire » Mon Jun 11, 2012 5:00 am

Clearly he's not the same as he was before. He's just been horrible out of the stretch. What do we do with him going forward? Sad as it is to say, Giants may have lucked out with Timmy not liking long term deals.

We can't trade him because his value is virtually nothing right now, and we can't throw any money at him because of his performance, we're pretty much stuck with the crap his throwing out there, you can't really replace him either, unless you want Surkamp starting.

If only we had Wheeler still :nonono:

Good thing he declined the extension offer.

Sit him for a few starts and go from there, I think.

I think he's still got trade value, but it's probably 75 cents on the dollar from what he was before

Someone would make a move for him with the track record he has and the fact that he's still not that old.

That being said, I don't expect them to trade him anyway.

I like the Timmy I saw on the mound today. He was 'freakin' amazing today against the Dodgers.

Lincecum is approaching DTM status.

Your post was nearly a month ago, but I'd say more like 25ยข at best now. Someone will take a chance on Lincecum, but we're not getting back the huge haul of A+ prospects we could have in previous years. Worst ERA in the league and 2nd worst isn't even close.

I am seriously worried but after going through the dark ages of pitching for over forty years, I'm hanging on to a stud like Lincecum as long as possible.

Clearly, he's injured and either doesn't know it, or prefers to play through it.
