Now thats looking more and more evident that Nash is leaving, i hope our FO goes into a full blown pursuit of unloading Gortat to someone.

My idea try to trade to the sixers to get Arnett Moultrie and Mo Harkless, maybe iguadola if we send them another player.

Makes some sense if they aren't going to keep Hawes, but those guys are probably planned to replace Iggy and Brand to some extent.

With Boston getting the band back together, i would try to send Gortat there for Sullinger/Melo/2013 1st.

Marshall/Telfair
Mayo/Dudley
Beasley/Childress
Morris/Sullinger/Warrick
Lopez/Frye/Melo

I'm starting to creep my way back on the Keep Gortat Bandwagon. We gotta have at least one quality big man for our rookie PG to work with. If we get a smokin' deal then you pull the trigger but Childress or Frye need to be attached.

I'm ready to ship him off. Get what you can. We need assets/young talent. Gortat's value is at its highest -its time.

They are not trading away both of their rookie big mans.
Maybe 1 of them and 1st, they do it. But no way they give up basically 3 firsts.

Something confuses me a little bit.

I know we are trying to improve our team, with the additions of Beasley and Mayo, but if that is the case, why aren't we trying harder to re-tain Nash? Beasley and Mayo are meant to be the solution to the "problem", which was attaining a 20ppg scorer to take the pressure off Nash late in games.

Wouldn't keeping Nash make sense if we are trying for a playoff run in the near future? If not, and we are in the rebuilding zone, and attempt to re-build through Beasley and Mayo, why didnt we dump Gortat earlier... say draft night?

Because Beasley and Mayo are 23 and Nash is 39.

It took 2 years but Babby and Blanks finally realized that the Suns need to go young.

Man I also used to be on the trade Gortat bandwagon. I see the value in trading him but I also realise who's likely starting if he's traded - Lopez...

Only Gortat trade that makes sense is along with Warrick to ATL for Smith + Pachulia...but ATL doesn't do that

Another team that could use Gortat/has the assets is obviously HOU...How about Gortat, Frye, Warrick to HOU for KMartin + Lowry...and be cheeky and ask for Patterson :)

Wait, they got their center...Asik...YIKES

I wouldn't trade Gortat for Josh Smith. I would trade him for Horford though.

You have to remember, just like Steve Kerr, Babby/Blanks had to kind of clean up the cluster that was Robert Sarver as GM for that one month when he was too stupid and cheap to pay Kerr in July 2010. So lets give Babby/Blanks some time to get the roster in a position to make moves.

As for Gortat, he is pretty cheap - not sure I want to give up on that guy.

You planning on sending Gortat, Dudley and a lightly protected 1st?

Only trade ATL considers for Horford in Dwight (mostly because JSmith will get him Dwight to sign extension)...they laugh at a Gortat offer.

Seems that JSmith is staying in ATL after yesterday's developments

Al Horford is a guy that we can build around. That's why I would trade whatever it takes (other than draft picks) to get him.

Maybe we can work something out with the Hornets and the Knicks...

Knicks trade: Jeremy Lin (s&t), Harrelson, Douglas, $3 million
Knicks get: Nash

Hornets trade: Eric Gordon
Hornets get: Lin, Harrelson, Douglas $3 mil, Lopez (s&t), Suns 1st

Suns trade: Lopez, Nash, lotto prtoected '13 pick
Suns get: Gordon

Phoenix declines but I don't think it makes sense for either team.

I would trade Marcin Gortat (28 yrs 7.2 mil) Hakim Warrick ( 29 yrs 4 mil) and a lottery protected (first three years) for Al Hardford (26 yrs 12 mil).

That trade would free up about 5 mil more for next year run at DHoward

A nice core of youn talent.

Dragic
Gordon
Beasley
Horford
Lopez

Not bad at all!
