Classy Organization

Post#1 » by ClubLakers KB8 » Thu Jul 5, 2012 2:22 am

I just wanted to say that I'm super impressed with your owner. It must have been very tough to deal Nash to the Lakers like that, but they did it because he wanted to go there and there was legitimate mutual respect. Doing that for him after Nash stuck by the Suns for years is just... classy.

Big props to your organization.

We won't be classy when we're owning the Lakers 4 years from now and winning championships. But, thank you.

not your fault, we are mad because our FO ruined a competitive team. remember when suns gave the lakers a real fight in the wcf 2010? it is an example how you implode.

I do. If it wasn't for MWP's put back, I think you go to the Finals that season.

Nash era was a great, great run.

Its all good man. Its a nice gesture. :D

We just feel kind of kicked in the balls right now. Most Suns fans would have been fine with him going literally ANYWHERE except for the Lakers.

Thanks man! Its tough, but as I told people in here, it makes the Suns more attractive to players.

Yeah I really don't have a problem with it. Fans think players care about fans but they really don't. They care about winning, money and family. Lebron made the right choice about leaving Cleveland and hopefully Nash feels the same way.

Oh and LOL RAPS!

Thanks for that.

As I said in the off season thread, I'm more happy that Nash won't be wasting his remaining years here or in Toronto than I am upset that he's going to the Lakers.

I think a huge portion of us are going to be rooting for the Lakers in the playoffs for the next few years. Of course about half of this board will be angry at those people too.

This is true from an emotional standpoint but from a logical standpoint and one that wants to win Championships we should be happy with this move. This helps us ensure that we'll be losing a couple games this season which will lead to better draft picks.

Steve Nash will not be allowed to be talked about in the same breath as Kevin Johnson. KJ would never put on a different uniform. He said it many of times. He retired rather then putting on a different uniform.

Congrats Nash u now join the scum of the earth.
I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.

Erm...you realise he played for Dallas after you guys traded him, right? So he's already worn a different uniform?

Sorry, honestly not looking to troll. My outside take on this whole thing is that the Suns did a pretty stand up thing by making things as easy as possible for Nash to go where he wanted as a thankyou for being a great servant. Good karma on both sides, although as a Celts fan, I hope the good Nash karma only leads him to a WCF...don't want the Lakers getting any more championships.

From your side, I hope other players look at this and see that some organisations follow through on promises, and show mutual respect.

And KJ started with the Cavs

I am still getting over Nash leaving, going to the Lakers is secondary to him leaving from my point of view. Glad he has a legit chance at a title, and a class act in netting us a return. He could have easily just said "F you" to Phoenix and lost a couple of million, but still left the Suns

Return to Phoenix Suns
