That's what I thought as soon as I saw it. Something somebody in the organization might have floated out to grab Howard's attention and try to whet his appetite.

Not going to happen. People have a complete misconception of the way Steve plays. Playing in a high-paced offense doesn't necessarily mean the Suns ran a lot. They mainly took a lot of quick shots and 3s. Besides, with two 7-footers, the last thing we need is to be running the ball. We still need to slow it down and hammer away in the half court, and Steve is perfect for that with his shooting and P/R skills.

Phoenix Suns fan here. Just want to say congratulations on your acquisition of arguably the best point guard of all time. This guy comes out and plays with heart every single night and still ceases to amaze me at the age of 38. I have lived in Arizona my whole life and have been a Suns fan since I can remember. I was ecstatic when the Suns signed Nash eight years ago. He made the Suns one of the most exciting teams in the NBA. Unfortunately, he never brought us a championship. I hope he can bring you guys one. Once again, congratulations. I'm going to miss Steve but I hope you guys enjoy him for the next three years.

Nash plays well in half court. The problem with my Suns was there wasn't many options for half court offense sometimes.

Steve Nash chose the Los Angeles Lakers over the New York Knicks, according to source. Kobe Bryant recruited him.

Worthy, lol....unbelievable stuff my dude!

I've been checking for NBA signings all day hoping for something good. I got deplaned in Miami about 11 pm and got a text from my boy Sedale. I just about crapped my pants right there and then. After being away 3 days, I came home and ran past my wife to turn on Sportscenter.

Forget being a title contender,.. we are a much smarter team and it appears that Kobe (if true that he was the key in recruiting him) is ready to share the load and relinquish ball handling majority of the time. If he can simply focus on being an efficient 2 guard and let Nash run the show, we should be much more efficient and Kobe's points should be of the easy variety.

We become "watchable" again! And hopefuly, Nash's unselfish style of play becomes infectious. Much like Messi does for Barca, I am psyched to see what he can do for us.

Even after 3 SportCenters repeating the same shti, I can't sleep. NBA tv to the rescue....

I am pumped... I love you guys. I love Suns management for being classy enough to not hold a grudge and deal with us. But then again, we gifted them Shannon. They owed us one (its ajoke)

oh. he mad.

This fool is a typical Celtic fan that hates any & everything about the Lakers. Even his own fan base has to shut him up at times.

I was ok with recruiting Nash but screw Howard. If he changes his mind fine but I wouldn't roll out the red carpet for that drama queen for nothing.

I'll admit Ankle that Dwight's Mega Diva Attitude towards Los Angeles has ben unbearable but would you have a chance of heart if he had a complete change of heart towards L.A due to us recently landing Nash?

P.S @BShaw, no need to jump on a plane. Kobe needs to pickup Nash in either his helicopter or Maybach and take a little 10 minute trip because Dwight's currently in Los Angeles.

D12's been in L.A since March due to his back specialist being over here.

exactly

Nash with 3 all star offensive talents like Kobe, Pau, and Bynum is going to be amazing to watch in the half court. We don't need to become a fast break team to make it work with him.

Suns fan here. Seriously, the Lakers are probably the last team I would ever want Nash to go to but I gotta respect his desire to be by his kids and a tiny part of me wants to see him with a ring....just not with you guys. LOL.

However, you know all those times that you would see someone drive and Kobe waving his hands frantically saying I am open while said Lakers puts up a dumb shot?

Consider those days gone.

Get used to seeing Nash drive and have no HUMAN WAY to know where Kobe is and still getting him the ball for an open shot. Get prepared for seeing INHUMAN passes to people he possibly couldn't see without eyes in the back of his head.

Get used to having two guys on the court that can drive a dagger in the other team with lights out shooting.

Congrats and I think this makes you guys big time contenders again.

I'm so happy we got Nash, one of my favorite players in the league and now we have a chance to get him his long deserved ring. Welcome to LA Steve, so exciting!

Steve Nash wrote:For the last 8 seasons I’ve been blessed to play for a team and a city that has embraced me and that I have come to call home. This is a tough business and the only thing constant in life is change.

After talking with (owner) Robert (Sarver) and (president of basketball operations) Lon (Babby) we’ve agreed that it’s time for both of us to move in new directions. I approached them and asked if they would be willing to do a sign and trade deal with L.A. because it is very important to me to stay near my children and family.

They were very apprehensive and didn’t want to do it. Fortunately for me, they reconsidered. They saw that they were able to get assets for their team that will make them better, assets they would not have otherwise had and it made sense for them to do a deal that helps their team get better.

I couldn’t be more grateful to the organization and Robert in particular. I know how hard this was for him and that fact that he was able to help me and my family in this way … it means a lot and says a lot about his character. I will never forget this gesture. Above and beyond.

The Phoenix Suns are an amazing organization and fans should be excited about their future. I hope the Suns win a championship some day soon for all the amazing fans and wonderful people in the organization.
