Lowry Traded to Raptors

Post#1 » by TMACFORMVP » Thu Jul 5, 2012 6:13 pm

Ken Berger ‏@KBergCBS
Source confirms that the Rockets have agreed to send Kyle Lowry to the Raptors for a future lottery pick, as reported by @WojYahooNBA.

and...

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA
Toronto will send a future first-round pick that source says "is conditional with high upside" for Houston. "Guaranteed lottery pick."

They probably did it because next years draft is supposed to be weaker than the '12 draft. Either way I think we are officially in rebuilding mode now. Tank timeeeeeeeee *hits 2 chainz dance*. Shotout to maxrider and the others that have been waiting for this moment lol....

YOOOO!!!! We must be all in on Jeremy Lin... I loved Kyle's game as much as the next guy, but when you turn your back on the Rockets, I turn my back on you. Good luck Toronto KLo.

Thats basically how I feel even though some of his reasoning was justified. Chris Paul and D12 to Houston next year>? Let the pipe dream begin ha ha ha ha

Lin > than Lowry overall. Pringles played him over 40 mins a game from nealry 0 minutes so he got hurt and played hurt but healthy Lin is way better Lowry guys. He's smarter, bigger, and faster overall... And now that his knee is repaired, I do believe he will be more affective on defense as well. J.Lin is 6'3 barefoot and 6'4 in shoes with a 8'2" standing reach. What I don't like is he put on some weight. He's closer to 215lbs than 200lbs and will probably go the way of Dwayne Wade's physique before it's all said and done..

how do you know your getting Lin?

id be fine with him going to the Rockets...

but you have NY and their right to match...

I got a feeling they will match what ever Houston offers even if it means luxury tax

Yeah, after NY lost out on acquiring Nash, the chances they don't match on Lin is slim to none, I'd think...

Jonathan Feigen ‏@Jonathan_Feigen
Rockets will get Gary Forbes in the trade, a source said, but Rockets will deal Lowry for pick. Exact details of protection still discussed

I wonder what the protection actually is?

but on another note... Lin would be a cash cow the the Rockets...

if Yao could get Les Alexander business deals in China...

and guys like Chuck Hayes shoe deals...

then id hate to think what Lin could bring...

I personally want to see Lin stay in NY and play as his healthy self. He broke nearly every single record in his first NBA starts and torched teams like the Lakers and Mav's. I think with a proper summer camp with the pieces they have on the Knicks they will be a special team.

Now if only we could package K Mart and Scola for some high lottery picks next year. Noel, Mohammad, Zeller '13!

Is that why he turns the ball over so much? Get the hell out of here saying lin is better than lowry. He had a nice overhyped run thats it. Wojnarowski is now saying that the pick will be lotto protected. If so morey is a f'n (Please Use More Appropriate Word)....

The same lowry that was a bordeline all-star and just got traded for a lottery pick? I guarantee you the raptors wouldn't have traded that pick for lin....
