What cap holds would those be? This all we got on the roster. No more. No less. I guess you could add a few more million for the 2013 draft pick, but until we actually draft some one, we won't know how much that is worth.
There are cap hold for each position on the roster that is not filled yet (up to 12 spots). Some of us discussed this a few days ago.
Absolutely, but the cap projections he made were assuming we didn't trade ANY of our bad contracts and made no additional moves and we'd still have about 21 million in space. What people fail to realize is that we are not starting from a zero cap space in 2013 position - the Magic are starting from approx 21 million in space and moving from there.

A better turnaround here would have been to trade Dwight for Bynum trade everything else away for expirings, get a solid lotto pick, and sign a few free agents with your cap space.
Bynum
BBD
FA (Josh Smith)
Lotto pick (Shabazz)
FA (Monta)
That sounds like a good rebuild plan.
Man... it's a shame Henny had ALL OF THAT just sitting on the table in front of him and turned it down.
It's a plan not stopgap. Jameer is a stopgap that helps nothing but the culture of the team. Considering most of this team will not be here in three years, what does team culture matter.
That's it ... duck and weave.

The market for teams willing to rent Dwight will grow smaller, not larger at the dealine. It is as good as it is gonna get right now. The less games they have to rent him, the less interested they are in having him.
WRONG.
WRONG.
WRONG.
Trams get delusions of grandeur when they think they are one piece away from a title - especially when they perform above expectations and want to seize an opportunity. Happens every year in ALL sports.

Dwight to Rockets unlikely cause Lowry traded to Raptors.
If the rockets get the raptors #1 thsi year, i would say thats more valuable than lowry himself. The raptors arent very good and that pick will be fairly high, which will really help our rebuilding alot more than a slightly above average PG would
Id take that pick and their 3 rookies over any other offer ive heard about so far

Pretty sure they traded their own 2013 #1 to the nets last year (which was traded to the haws in the joe johnson trade)
