Haha...is that the guy who started his own thread and kept quoting his own posts because he was mystified by his post count continually increasing?

It's not that i don't understand it. it's that my basketball knowledge tells me it wouldn't work and i assumed that people who get paid to make these decisions would be smart enough not to spend almost all of their cap room on a position they already have covered if you can't understand that it might be best for you to not to comment on these boards. I was hoping for some insight since i mean everyone here follows the team but you all just don't get what im saying. trust me if they don't make a move to get a starting potential shooting guard they won't make the playoffs so once this shows out to be a horrible decision I hope you remember that hey that smart guy on realgm told me this would be stupid then you can find me and apologize on here.

Okay....since you didn't take my advice and enjoy that Heat Championship, and had to add your smart guy insight once more.....kid gloves are coming off...

The Wade avi makes me believe you are a Heat fan, so that's probably why you are shocked we didn't want Beasley back. You also probably think someone who can score a ton is all that matters in NBA basketball...hence the love for Derrick Williams and Beasley.

Wolves head coach Rick Adelman hardly played Beas after his injury...why would we give any sort of contract to a guy we know won't even play?

Just because Adelman likes Budinger doesn't mean Batum would rot on the bench...Batum is not Beasley.

You think we have SF covered because of Budinger and Derek Williams?
Budinger is only one guy, and most likely a solid backup who can come into a game and not destroy you with stupid play and turnovers (something Beasley did occasionally).
If you watched Derek Williams at all last year, you'd know that he can't keep up with the SF in the NBA...just like Beasley usually couldn't (which is why he played PF in Miami). Derek Williams is trying to shed pounds and get quicker laterally....TRYING....that doesn't mean it's a sure fire solution. Do you see how adding Batum might help us hedge our bets now? Derrick Williams might not fit in with this team, but since his value is low and we aren't giving him away for peanuts...we'll go with him as a backup PF and try him at SF for a season. If he can't adapt to SF, then we're hoping for a team to offer a legit starter for him (our hope is Iggy caliber, but that's optimistic).

If you don't think Batum can guard SG....I'm not sure how much you've watched him play. The kid is good enough to stay in front of anybody at SG or SF, even some PG and stretch PF's as well.

The "stock piling PG and Fowards" thing is not only insulting and unintelligent, it's also over 2 years old....If you want to throw a barb at Wolves fans....bring up the fact that we only like White guys now.

Obviously we need a SG...that's why the Wolves are trying to get a decent one. Also, in Adelmans system we don't have a SG and SF as much as we have "wings"...one of which needs to be able to handle the ball, which is why Ridnour played the SG spot so much last season. Adding a guys like Batum and Budinger (and hopefully Roy, Shved, etc.) are guys who are better at doing that than any SG/SF we had on the team last year.

Adelman has been known to run a pretty small rotation, so having guys who can play multiple positions is nice, and that's what we are trying to do. It seems like you are trying to force all of the Wolves' tweeners into one set position...something I don't think benefits the players or the team.

To summarize...
You don't know our coach
You don't know our team needs
You don't know the history of this team
You are reiterating negative things you've heard from ESPN and these boards about David Kahn and the Wolves over the last 5 years.
You probably still "don't get it"
It'd be best if you enjoy your Heat Championship...

I was really hoping I didn't have to spend 20 minutes of my life explaining this for no reason...but I went and fed that troll anyways... :nonono: You win.
