True but they got swept in year 2 for different reasons... Mavs because they lost Chandler, Barea, Stevenson, Corey Brewer, Peja... Miami didn't make any moves after the title and had a roller coaster year... this is if my memory is correct... Shaq got hurt at the start of the year, Riley had to leave because of surgery and was gone for awhile and i think rothstein filled in for awhile? , and of course Wade was out for awhile because of his shoulder injury and returned just in time for the playoffs but wasnt 100%...

I kinda hope turiaf comes back, anyone know why he opted out?

He's looking to get PAID

Those courtside celebrations don't come cheap. Look for the Thunder to be big players in the Ronny Turiaf sweepstakes. They need a guy like that.

Tweet from Windhorst:

WindhorstESPN Brian Windhorst
With LAC out, going to Heat would mean Allen would have to sign for half BOS offer + betray Pierce & Garnett. That's a tough sell.

Why do people keep saying it's half Boston's offer? We're offering over 9 million and a year more. Boston is offering 12 mil. It's not like Ray will probably get another contract after this next one. This is probably it for him. 9 mil or 12 mil. If we were only offering 2 years, I could see that. But we're not.

I hate Windhorst. He's a POS.

He followed LeBron down here to Miami but he has obvious bias against him and our team.

IF Ray signs here, I guarantee either Windhorst or WOJ will write an article on how LeBron forced Allen to "Betray the loyalty of Garnett & Pierce"

Should be the opening scene to the blockbuster summer action movie based on his life.

Or maybe someone makes a GIF similar to this one that features Les Miles.

Heh, we are being used as leverage, I will believe this until Ray makes his announcement.

I don't believe he is serious about us for a second.

David Aldridge ‏@daldridgetnt
Veteran F Rashard Lewis, bought out by the Hornets after coming in Okafor/Ariza trade from D.C., will visit Miami this weekend, per source.

DAMN - 2 min later

David Aldridge ‏@daldridgetnt
Hawks and Knicks are also interested in Lewis, 32, who played in 28 games for the Wizards last season.

3 min later

Ethan J. Skolnick ‏@EthanJSkolnick
Credit to @daldridgetnt for report about Rashard Lewis visiting Heat this weekend. Lewis has always been Miami's Plan B....

Also smart to have another meeting planned with someone, in case Allen intends to take his time.

As a minority, I am in the minority with U - that last part about the "no trade clause" valid or not, was my position from Day 1. Again, hope I(we) are wrong

Dave Hyde ‏@davehydesports
Two intertwined reports affecting Heat: 1) Boston might offer Ray Allen, "either a no-trade clause or a trade kicker

I was just thinking, could Ray be offered a signing bonus that kind of makes up the amount he would make in Boston? Or would that count against the cap?

Agent Colin Bryant on why Rashard Lewis likes Heat and is visiting this weekend: “They’re a championship team, and a great organization, and I think he’d fit well with them. It would definitely be a great overall situation.’
