Ray just wants to get a taste of local vajayjay before he decides.

Why? He just arrived a few hours ago. Why get right back on another plane when he can just get some rest and catch a flight out the next day. It's not like Miami isn't a decent enough place to warrant just staying the night.

Haha, he still hasn't said yes?

He's going back to Boston. We are leverage.

No way he leaves here without a deal and ends up here.

exactly. Reminds me of Jeff Fisher to the Rams. Though, I was one of the few fins fans yelling PLEASE GOD NO TO FISHER, GET PHILBIN!

Hopefully, Ray ends this quickly so we can grab Camby. But of course, if he knows he is going back to BOS, why not delay our free agency and play defense on us, ruining our shot as all the other players get picked up.....

What leverage? It's been reported that Boston already offered a no-trade or trade kicker. He has no more to leverage for.

Whatever else he wants. Playing time guarantee, who knows.

this is all very suspenseful.... if his mind was truly made up, it wouldn't have to go into a second day. the last thing i wanna believe is that this is a leverage type move but it can be. Let's hope his agent just needs a day to process through the contract and we'll hear something positive tomorrow.

If he hasn't signed by tomorrow, I'm pretty sure that's it for us. He has known what both Boston and Miami could offer for quite some time. Nothing seriously has changed besides Boston pretty much giving the last final chip they can offer. Bass is resigning, Pierce, KG, rondo will all be there, he knows what he will get form them. It's pretty much the exact same team plus a few of their pieces coming back from injury. Additionally, we've obviously made no more moves waiting for him. Our core is set, he knows what kind of team he'll be playing with. He's played against us in two series, he's watched us go to two straight finals through Boston and Chicago, he knows where we stand in the pecking order. There's nothing more to say or think about at this point. He's known the stakes for quite some time.

Hopefully I awake tomorrow to some good news.

BTW - we can still get Camby, even if we use the MLE on Ray and even if Camby will not settle for the vetren minimum on a 1 year contract.

How?

We do a S&T with the Rockets, we send them JamesJones (sorry buddy) and they send us Camby on a 2 or 3 years contract for 2Mil$ per year. it works.
