The NBA regular season is extremely boring because they play an extremely long season that detemines very little. Even 7-game series are too long. The regular season would be a lot more interesting if each team played one another twice and then the top-16 teams made the playoffs. Every game would then be important, you'd eliminate mediocre ECF teams making the playoffs, and the playoff matchups would be much more intense.

We will have a great season. Lebron can have fun and as in Cleveland that is 60+ games! In fact, the role players such as Chalmers and Cole are @ an all time confidence high! This means that there will be games that these guys are clicking and Lebron and Wade can sit back. I think that we will continue to experiment with different lineups! But the biggest thing is the chemistry improvement. The team realizes who they are! Awesome opportunity for greatness. Also remember Wade had a challenging year and Bosh as we'll so a summer of rest and the monkey off their back will be great!

Read all the comments and i can definitely see the other side of the coin, for sure i'm not taking this team for granted because this kind of dream happening to your franchise doesn't come around that often so i'll still tune in/go to games like i have for years. I was merely saying that trying to get pumped for a game against John Wall in November is hard when you know you're REALLY waiting to meet Durant/Westbrook in the postseason again.
*UNLESS* we go into Bulls 72 mode because in that case i'll be trash talking Javale Mcgee just so we can get the win in the regular season.

i think next season is going to be fun as hell
no more overreacting to every game, every qtr, every possession, every facial expression (at least for me)
no more annoying "can this thing work??", "is this coach capable??" debates
if we lose a game, so what, we're the defending champs
everyone knows the road to the title goes thru MIA and what we're capable of when we play at our best
"HAHAHAHAHAHA MIA LOST/LBJ CHOKED!!!!!"

Ill have fun. People should overreact a lot less. Probably wont though. A lot less pressure as well. Wade and Bosh get a lot of rest. And hopefully Wade has successful knee surgery and works with Tim Grover and recovers that explosiveness.
Im also looking forward to what Norris Cole will look like with a full training camp. And maybe Pittman too.
And as scary as it sounds, I dont think we've seen the best of Lebron. He probably found confidence in his post-game and his jumpshot wasnt even falling in the Finals. Put them together, and he could have the best/most efficient season of his career.

Wade needs to hire a shooting coach for the offseason and get it to 08-09 form. LeBron continue to work on his post game.

No, every game whether it's regular season or playoffs is fun to watch. I actually like the reg. season. Nothing beats a 3:30est game on ABC, or going to see the HEAT at the TD Garden lol.

I just hope the players don't get as cocky as fans on this thread.
All that talk about knowing what it takes and being relaxed ... every team that repeated said getting the 2nd in a row is much harder than getting the 1st. Just go look-up the quotes on the internet. Being relaxed also means losing that edge, some of that hunger. Get too relaxed and you might get eliminated in the 2nd round (like the Spurs did in '04 and '06, or the Lakers in '03 and '11).
The East looks relatively easy now, but you never know. If Dwight forces his way to the Nets, make no mistake, that's gonna be a dangerous team. They won't have 3p shooting, spacing on O, a bench or a competent coach, but they'll still challenge the Heat on talent alone. And they'll all be motivated and still on that honeymoon so there shouldn't be any friction between the players (yet).
