Or even better, Lopez. You know...just for lulz.

I would absolutely love someone to come out of nowhere with a full max qualifying offer for Lopez...

You have to think some team in the East has thought about that just so they don't have to play Dwight.

Which to me makes it more likely why Mavs might throw in an offer now, lest they've decided to forfeit the offseason entirely. If they didn't intend on keeping Lopez, they could always work out a three-way trade with a team in the east and take back assets that way. Or amnesty Haywood, deal for some young role players, and package Lopez + parts + draft picks to ORL for Howard + Hedo/J'Rich. Then go hard after Lin.

Dallas plans on preserving cap space for next year to go after CP3 and Howard. They won't be doing it.

So apparently, Dallas learned nothing this week about betting that a star player won't choose the team that holds their bird rights, and would rather gamble it all on signing not one but TWO of them in FA. Good luck with that, Cuban.

This X 100000000.

I'm constantly lmao at all these idiot posters in the GB who truly believe in their heart that Brook Lopez is on the same level as Bynum.

Are the two 1st rounder protected at all? If not I am concerned about the 2015 pick.

Payton had a very solid '02-03 season before he joined the Lakers. I don't think he dramatically declined in talent in '03-04, just never established a consistent role

WTF happened to him? He looks like what the offspring of Chris Kaman and a wild Bobcat would look like, if it was mildly re-tarded.

All I saw reported on the 2015 pick was "minimal" protection, so it does have some protection.
