Will AA let $2M+ lose another half-dozen games this year? Or will Cordero finally be released?
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

It is kinda funny to think that Koji Uehara not waiving his NTC may have cost the Jays a chance at competing (at least to this point). I have lost count of how many games Cordero has destroyed this year.

Well, he has given up what 24 runs in 33 innings. Pretty much blows every appearance he makes. I'm going to be very upset if I don't wake up in the morning to the news that CoCo has been released.

Caught the post-game on the drive home. It's maybe only the 2nd time I've heard it all year long, but man someone needs to put Wilner out of his misery. It is just straight up uncomfortable listening to this guy belittle callers who are far from nut jobs. If you want those, try doing the Raptors post-game. Wilner was even a condescending dick to a 70 year-old lady tonight. That guy needs to find a new job.

The theme of the night was his "defense" of Cordero which he claims he never does. All he does is present facts. You have to be pretty tricky with those stats to believe Cordero has done anything but been a colossal failure. Yes, he's had good appearances. No, blowout games do not count. The guy is terrible plain and simple. But, I'm sure Wilner would find a way to be a condescending dick to anyone that says a negative word about the Jays. Because you know guys, they've won more games than they've lost...I didn't know that was the goal - I guess I've set my new expectations for the season.

god **** dammit! JP's first jack glanced right off my fingers!!! i tried to bare-hand it with a beer in the other, but FAILED. and then some other dude dived on it. shoulda used my hat to try and catch it. it was crazy because we literally just got to our seats seconds before it happened. oh well i have a couple of gameballs already, i just wish i'd have caught that one bare-handed

I just watched the truck melt (Post game highlights of every big play from every camera angle) two things;

How did you not come up with the ball after the fact? You let that other guy get it.

2) I like how you held onto the beer in the other hand, had you made the catch, that would have been mighty impressive :)

lastly, seating in the 200 outfields?

the guy dove on it like it was barry bonds 500th homer. he already had two hands on the ball by the time i tried reaching for it after it kinda pinballed around the seats.

i wish i coulda caught it with a beer in the other hand. if i wasn't holding onto my beer then there's no doubt i have that ball now.

and yeah i know 200 outfields right? a far cry from our usual dope seats, but it was a shotgun idea to hit the game today. by the time we got to our seats the jays were already down by 5 in the 3rd.

and it's crazy how i haven't had a ball hit that close to me all season, despite usually sitting in prime foul ball territory on the 3rd base line

i need to redeem myself spyke

Wilner just loves arguing for the sake of arguing.

I caught the entire post game tonight also and its just unreal how he acts to fans on a consistant basis talking down to them, telling them there idiots, interupts people every call and just generally tries way too hard to start fights when there not even there. You can tell this guy lives a pretty angry and depressing life with the way he treats all his callers, even the ones who are somewhat agreeing with the things hes saying but at the end of the day hes a perfect guy for this job because he keeps making excuses for the team.

Yea that guy was pretty aggressive goin after it. Sucks, it was really only between you and him, it looked like you shoulda gotten it, whether it was from catching it or tracking it down afterwards. and yea, no doubt, without that beer, two hands, you make that catch.

Seems crazy I know, I sit in foul ball territory all the time and nothing really ever comes close. Last thing your expecting sitting in the 2nd deck is a ball to land in your lap... Well, hopefully next time Sensi :)
