anyway I'm going to bed now. Ray Allen is going back to BOS. Even his wife has a reality show up in Boston, she ain't leaving.
Hope Riley can still get us some good players even though Ray Allen has wasted over a week of our FA.

Then why do you continue to post the same thing over and over? You don't think he is signing we get it.

You're reaching Bill Simmons levels of obvious reverse jinxes.

Re: OffSeason Free Agent Thread...Let's build a DYNASTY! 2.0
People are underrating a Ray Allen signing.
He is more then just a spot-up three point gunner.
This could make the "big three" a legitimate "big four". This isn't like signing Miller or Battier. This could be huge. He's older but his commitment and conditioning and love of the game doesn't lend itself to burning out into an old has-been late in his career. He is one of those players that as long as he decides to play and dedicate himself to the game he is somebody you'll always go to war with.
Yes, he is a jump shooter, but from 3 or 2 if he has even a bit of daylight...put it in the bank. He isn't afraid to flip the script either. You think he just wants to shoot the ball and he sneaks to the basket on a penetration. He is also underrated defensively. In a great team defensive system he excels. He is also not afraid of the big moment, and honestly, 10 times out of 10, I'd take him taking the big shots over anyone I've seen in the last 15 years of NBA basketball. If you have Ray Allen in your five man army in crunch time, you have the advantage. Couple that with James, Wade, and Bosh down the stretch...it could be potent.

He's not even trying to reverse jinx, isn't he the same guy who said why have Ray when we got James Jones and Shane Battier to hit threes?

Yes.
I must admit, going out in public and eating dinner and all that...it's a weird thing to do for a guy who doesn't intend to sign with us. Not saying he's wrong for doing it, I'm sure Riley may have insisted. Just seems weird. I sure as heck wouldn't want to stick around and chum it up with an organisation that I'm about to spurn and that will become my prime enemy next few years.

Anyway we can get a team with cap to facilitate a S&T? I can only see two teams under the cap that would help... New Orleans... A western team that will not be winning soon but can be looking for more assets and/or picks even after they match Gordon and likely sign Kaman and/or Landry. The other team is Sacramento ... May be willing to try and grab some assets getting better in the process... Maybe facilitating to get more assets maybe up their alley.

Ok, we need a decision from Ray today.
It is either yes, we have a verbal agreement, or no, thank you for your time, but my heart is with the Celtics (ugh).
No flip flopping/funny business. If he says no the Heat have to know ASAP so they can chase other guys.

Once the Ray Allen signing is official lets go after Elton Brand. Philly used the clause on him and I'm positive our "Godfather" could make him an offer he couldn't refuse with the Vet minimum, and role on the defending champs

He won't clear through amnesty waivers so that won't happen.

The 76ers have decided to use the amnesty clause on Elton Brand and the $18M left on final year of his deal, league sources tell Y! Sports.
I doubt he clears waivers, but if he does any chance of him coming TO MIA?

Yeah Brand isn't clearing waivers. He'd be a real quality pickup if they could get him though.

there'd be a chance... but there's no way he clears waivers so it really doesn't matter. he just has one year left on that contract

i really, really want ray allen to sign but we should all recalibrate the implications of him spurning the heat. miami is still the defending champion with the best player in the league at both ends of the floor. if ray allend doesn't take the 3-mil, miami will offer it to someone else. and rashard lewis is very interested in coming here and would fit nicely as a stretch 4, possibly a starter. we're fine with or without ray.

Ray is coming, I think Lewis is 70/30 to come...Brand or Camby would be unreal

I just wanted to chime in to state that Miami316 is an obvious troll.
Its a bogus account created to seem like a cocky Miami fan to increase the perceived annoyance at our RealGM fanbase.
Frankly, its quite annoying.
Its reaching ercnip level.
