Why do I keep seeing people posting us having no cap space even after a trade that lands us Bynum with hedo and Dudu going out and Bynum being the only acquisition?

http://aroyalpain.com/2012/07/05/sacram ... 6-million/

Sacramento Kings Planning To Start Jason Thompson’s Contract At $6 Million.

"The fact that the Kings’ starting offer is “only” $6 million could be the reason for the lack of progress between the two sides as Thompson is most likely waiting for a larger outside offer that would force the Kings’ hand to either match or let the former Rider product depart for greener pastures."

If they make an offer to Anderson that is higher than $6M per year, then perhaps Thompson would be willing to agree to that and we could pull of a mutual S&T.

C Andrew Bynum / Jason Thompson

BAM. Eases the concern about Bynum's knees.

So what you propose is we sign JT to play gortat to bynums Howard?

IMO, Bynum alone is better than anything Brooklyn could offer .. Good Big Men are rare, and Bynum is undoubtedly the 2nd best in the League. Lopez isn't worth anything over 8-9mil, & we don't need Humphries, we have like 15 PFs already .. Brooks is nice, but that's about it.

And his knees, well I don't know if everyone knows how he got injured? First time he landed on someone's foot and the second Kobe fell into him on a rebound. If that would happen to me, I'd be injured too and my knees aren't fragile

If Henny can get Bynum and somehow get rid of Hedo to a 3rd team, this is about the best we can do ..

This sucks. Lakers aren't trading, and we aren't to BK either. We got to face the facts guys ,Dwight is stuck here for at least another 4 yrs after the extension
:( we hate him, and he hates us. Hope Meer, JJ or Iguoldala will get the Finals MVP instead of DH12 when we win.

I don't feel like going back 25 pages. What happened last night? What's with all this Lakers/Bynum talk? Are they the new front-runner for Dwight?

Who knows, this off season is pretty much a big yawn for us magic fans. All spec or rumors by fakers. Nothing concrete or legit

Essentially what took place is that someone posted an article from Twitter that says "Sources are telling me to expect Dwight in a Lakers uniform this weekend". The lakers after getting Steve Nash have said that they do not need "assurance" from Dwight about the extension and now are willing to consider a Dwight for Bynum swap. Magic are pushing for and that is about all that happened

Well it's good to see that Orlando realizes this is a better offer than BKN's.

One thing suggested was a Dwight and JRich trade for Bynum and EBanks. Someone else suggested Pau and Bynum for Howard and Turk.

If possible I would like to see a 3 way trade with Magic, Lakers, and Memphis with Orlando getting Bynum and Rudy Gay a S&T for OJ Mayo. That is my preference but then again it will eat into the salary cap for next year

^^You really think the Lakers give up both Gasol and Bynum?

I'd like if we made an effort to get Bledsoe here for backup PG. He'd essentially take over as starting PG as Jameer transitions to backup.

What would be fair value for Bledsoe?

I do not think they will but if the right deal with a third team was offered then yes I think they would. I highly doubt that they would do Pau and Bynum for Dwight

I live in New England, and Comcast Sports Net New England is reporting that the Lakers have told someone on their team (other than Bynum) to get ready to be included in the Dwight deal. They didn't say who, but the front office is telling this player to get ready ahead of time out of respect for the player.

I wonder who it is?

Either Bynum, MWP or Blake.

MWP is nuckin futs. I would refuse free courtside seats if he were on my team.
let paid professionals do their job, don't you try and do it for them...
