So Nash joins the Dark side. The Lakers gave up an awful lot considering how old he is. Lakers get a huge upgrade at the point, but I really like this move for the Suns.

Still can't wait to see what type of arguments will be presented by Kobe fans if the Lakers fail to win this upcoming season. There should be no more excuses.

OKC signs Hasheem Thabeet to 2 year deal. guess they are hoping he can block shots like Ibaka in case they lose Serge.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

I don't think this makes the Lakers all that much better. Yes they have a great point guard in Steve Nash, probably the best since Magic Johnson. He'll help run the offense because there should be no reason that Kobe/Gasol/Bynum couldn't get it done offensively. Now they have Nash to take care of that.

But defensively, Fisher was a concern because he was too and too slow. They tried to get quicker with Sessions. And now they have Nash who has always been a liability on defense.

Defensively it's a wash, but offensively, I think they just got much better. Now, there's absolutely no reason for Kobe to hog the ball and their offense should flow much better.

Slowmile Swift has to be the worst free agent signing in Rockets history and he's still a loser.

http://www.chron.com/sports/article/DA- ... 730437.php

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — Former NBA player Stromile Swift has been placed on probation for 18 months after pleading guilty to stalking a Shreveport woman.

The District Attorney's Office tells The Times (http://bit.ly/PRkp2k ) the 32-year-old pleaded guilty Friday to one count of stalking, and Judge Ramona Emanuel gave him a suspended six-month jail term.

Swift was arrested May 19, 2011 after Chaquinita Pouncy told police he was following her vehicle after an argument. Less than six months earlier, police had arrested Swift when he allegedly drove up to Pouncy's house with a gun in his pocket.

Pouncy also alleged that Swift sent her threatening text messages.

I wasn't, though I did have my fingers crossed that he might be modestly effective.

At that point, I hadn't quite realized that Dawson was not so great of a GM.

and a lakers heat finals is 95% guarantee
fire morey please ,the sooner the better.....ryan Anderson is a 3 not a 4

I think Lakers picking Eddie Jordan to implement the Princeton might work, especially with this personel. If their offense works well, Nash's offensive contribution (and his locker room presence) will give much more than his (lack of) defense takes away. They are the better team in their division, better than the Clippers by a hair and much much better than the Warriors, Kings and Suns.

The problem is, the other conferences have held pat or improved. South West looks much better than it did last year. Spurs reloaded, New Orleans are flush with youth and new talent, Dallas got a few new pieces and got rid of a lot of cruft. Memphis's back court improvements depend on the maturation of Selby, but they are at worst a fringe playoff team. The only team that noticeably regressed is ours, by design.

And Northwest looks like it's got four playoff teams (Denver, Oklahoma, Minny, Utah) and Portland will be good in a year or two. The ending to how the West will be won will prove to be dramatic and unpredictable.

I can't think of a team in NBA history that had a top 5 PG, top 2 SG, undisputed best C, along with a top 5-6 PF in the league as well all on the same team at the same time.

it looks to be a daam good team and entertaining to watch. but they're age only gives them a two year window for a title.

The NBA, Stern, loves the Lakers so the window is longer
