The 76ers have decided to use the amnesty clause on Elton Brand and the $18M left on final year of his deal, league sources tell Y! Sports.

Could one say that this is an elaborate plot by David Stern and the Lakers all along with Dwight to get him to LA in the first place. A year ago, Magic fans would have revolted if they lost the most dominate Center on the planet TWICE to the Lakers. But, throw in some drama with the Nets and Dwight staying in LA for like 4 months now, this is starting to feel like we have been manipulated into accepting the fate of the Nation Basketball Association of Los Angelas. They got us to hate on Dwight and accept anything in return, even a gimp with a soon to be max contract.

Someone, try to prove me wrong. If the entire league profits from Dwight in LA, then the league will make it happen. Heck, they got the new Hornets owner the 1st round draft pick. This league is rigged. FYI: Stern is an LA man. . .

thats something you'll never see out of bynum if we get him. but mabye thats good. dwight's game is relient on his athleticism mostly while bynum's is more on skill. dwight will fall off a lot faster and his decline will be a lot more steep than bynum's.

That's your team in 2013 at 51 million plus cap holds. Only 7 players signed.

If Lakers are the team we are dealing with they have no way to take back any salary like JRich or Hedo. They might take back Duhon.

Lets say we can't return Gasol but instead return Bynum|MWP|McRoberts for Howard|Hedo, and MWP agrees to retire.

We then need to trade Baby and JRich for expirings, but in doing so, while still keeping Anderson for as much as $13M/yr, we'd still have over $15M in cap space to go after Iggy or Ellis or Harden or Evans, and so on. Let Anderson walk and we have way over the max for multiple FA's. Trading Hedo with Howard and then finding expiring contracts for JRich and Baby and we are a FA force in summer '13.

a few FAs from 2013 are ETOs like Ellis and IGGY.

2014: Kobe, Granger, Deng, Stuckey, Lebron, Wade, Anthony, Gay, Bosh, Dirk, Pau Gasol, Amare, Z-bo, Bargnani, Bogut, Gortat.

that looks just about as good at the 2013 class.

Also, the moon-landing was staged; George W. Bush plotted 9/11; and Barack Obama is a Muslim Kenyan.

The NBA is shady at times, but until I see proof (as opposed to conjecture) to the contrary, this crap with Dwight all seemed to come straight from him, his people, and to an extent, Otis' mismanagement. Dwight wants/wanted to go to Brooklyn. Nothing nefarious, just sucky.

Does that mean they are giving up on D12? (not that Brand is a D12-lite, but as far as cap space)
