Just chill.

Do you seriously believe Pat Riley is infallible? Incapable of mistakes? I defend Pat Riley, I love the man, always have, always will.

BUT... his strategy, is to "go all out" on 1 particular free agent and shower him with the proper amount of love and attention until he makes a decision. This is a good strategy. It works, and has worked before even as recently as last season (Battier).

here it comes again..... BUT........ this is a unique situation.

Ray Allen. Guy is a wild card. He could potentially be playing double agent, c-blocking us from getting FA's while at the same time using us as leverage to fix his issues in Boston..... so the Celtics can finally stomp us. THEY HATE US.

If we go "all in" on a wild card like this..... it could burn us very badly.

Who says we are all in? Do you seriously think that we are not in touch/negotiating with any one else? Yeah, to an extent we might be indicating that we're waiting on Allen's decision, but if there is someone out there that we really like who says he'll sign right there do you think we'll say "No, you'll have to wait"?

Thats the part I don't agree with .. everything else you said is reasonable.

It's so great that you are aware of what the Heat front office is doing, please tell me more. The truth is you have no freakin' idea what else they are considering doing. No matter what you want to believe there was no shot at Terry with the current financial state of Miami. No MLE meant no Terry. You know what's blocking up from several free agents right now? Our cap space, nothing else. So stop trying to come up with this conspiracy that Allen is working under this other motive of trying to stop Miami from adding other pieces because you sound stupid.

I keep hearing whispers that Minnesota is now in the mix for Allen. If that's the case then that's not great news for us. The more teams the worse chance. I'm still optimistic that Riley can pull it off though.

We are all in with the Mini-MLE on Ray Allen.

Obviously Pat is contacting people about vet minimums.....

Wow, you have some terrible logic. Allen isn't blocking us from anyone. You can't block us from someone we never had a chance at to begin with. Terry wasn't taking a pay cut to play here like Allen could possibly decide to do.

How do you know? We never even contacted Jason Terry because we were focused on Ray Allen. Jason Terry was interested in us, and he said "I'm still waiting for Miami to call me"

You don't know what he would have done.

You believe Ray Allen will pass up money to play with us, why not Jason Terry? We are the defending world champs.

or it could be that we weren't interested .. for whatever reason.

or Pat Riley is using his "all in" strategy with our Mini-MLE on Ray Allen. They made a decision as an "organization" they said, to go after Allen.

Exactly. Whoever said he might go to Minny is trolling.

That was my first reaction too. But if I see 25 different tweets regarding Minnesota and every other one is involving the Heat and the Celtics it makes me scratch my head. Why would Minnesota continue to pop up? I think the chance is .01%, but like I said before, I just put out what I read and let you guys speculate. You're probably right though.

Lmao at this ****...

Every time Miami is pursuing someone we don't know anything until the last second... same goes with injuries... they never say anything... it's so frustrating for the fans..

That Celtics source sounds certain Ray Allen is on the way back to B-town right now to finalize something with the C's. All this random back & forth is annoying. If Ray wanted Miami and this was decided already what's the hold up on an announcement?

So we got sources saying he's heading back to Boston and sources saying he has signed with the Heat. I'll rather wait for an official announcment.

For what it's worth, Ric Bucher(so not much) said that there was a "mystery 3rd team" in the mix for Ray Allen last night on SportsCenter. Could be Minny or could be Ric Bucher talking out of his ass.

This is like when the Cowboys and Jets were bidding on Nnamdi Asomugha last offseason and the Eagles came out of nowhere for the kill
