Not possible for both Russia and Nigeria to go.

That's right it was Raptor_claw. Well let's hope he wasn't Greek at least. Then again Greece has bigger problems than basketball right now anyways.

Looking forward to the Valaciunas vs Ramos matchup

IT is possible. Winner of Semis, lets say Russia - qualifies. Loser plays in so called ''bronze'' game to win 3rd place and final ticked to Olympics. Simple.

Kill Bill definitely got fouled, but Zouros and the team never should have been in that position in the first place. Frustrating. First tourney we won't be apart of since '02 FIBA World Championships in Indianapolis. :o

I meant that they would lose the second game if LTU reached that point

Russia wins semifinal - qualifies
Lithuania wins quarterfinal and semifinal - qualifies
Nigeria loses semifinal and beats Macedonia/Dominican Republic - qualifies

Possible scenario.

Alright, alright you got me

Well so much for the Venezuelan conspiracy that LTU lost to Nigeria on purpose to kick Venezuela out of the tournament after the coaches disrespect. Eric Musselman seriously looks like a dumbass for complaining about that timeout considering the importance of each point.

If Lithuania loses today they aren't going to be in the Olympics?

How so? The timeout was completely unnecessary - fact. Liths didn't really care to play hard vs Nigeria - also fact.
My guess they were really pissed at Venezuela winning the rights to host this tournament. Everyone from the pres to players kept bitching about everything non-stop. And when they got their opportunities to stick it to the hosts, they took them.

We'll have our answer soon. If they pass PR, they should qualify. Hope people here going to watch the game, and i hope Los Manos have ENG streams prepared, because Lithuanian one will go down you can bet your ass...

Will he even be playing very much if the LT NT make it?

He should play every game, and then it depends how he plays.

Developmentally speaking only here,

Does sitting on the bench and playing less than 10mins a game serve him better than playing 30mins a game in summer league and then begin training in the raps system?

Bo Macalleb is a beast. That little guy just dunked it hard on Harford.

Too bad he is American and not Macedonian.

Dude you advance based on point differential not win/losses. Only need to win one game.

Everyone is complaining about Venezuela and rightfully so. Players can't leave their hotels and are protected by the military. They even practiced in a barracks. That said I doubt a team would intentionally do that to a country... at the end of the day Venezuela could've controlled its on fate with its play. Don't underestimate Nigeria as they beat Greece. And Venezuela only beat Nigeria by 2. Lastly Nigeria made some miracles shots, mostly 3s, against Lithuania.

Val is averaging 16 in a 40 minute game. If Lithuania makes the Olympics then Jonas will face much tougher competition and the Olympics are much longer than Summer League.

Well he is playing 15-20 mins and dont forget he practises a lot against big body of Javtokas and Sabonis is giving him advices. Another thing he probably knows already raps system. Raps their sending games video also Rytas - Jonas past team who was coached by former Casey's assistant coach ran some of same plays as Raptors.

Its strange how he didnt get any attention from NBA. He could have helped some contender for bargain.
edit: Another great game in Qualifications Dominic Republic with Horford leading by 3 against Macedonia

Macalleb is an athletic freak. Dude is just 178cm tall, sort of Nate Robinson with more game.

SICK comeback by Dominicans. Macedonians led 37-17 in the second quarter, now Dominicans are up 80:71 with 1:02 left.

just saw a replay of the greece-nigeria game, how the hell didn't they call that last play a foul. that's so blatant and obvious, it should have resulted in 3 free throws without a doubt.
