Trade Proposal

Post#1 » by kampz » Fri Jul 6, 2012 10:28 pm

I can't find a Asik thread so yeah.

Chicago Bulls offer a sign and trade of Omer Asik + Carlos Boozer + Charlotte first rounder for Luis Scola + Courtney Lee.

Houston fans, Accept or Decline. If you decline, you won't get Omer Asik. The Bulls will match the offer.

to get asik we'd need to take boozer's terrible obnoxious contract, and lose scola and lee? ugh no way

Carlos Boozer in fact had a better, more productive season averaging two minutes less then Luis Scola. He's the better player. Pick and Rolls with Jermany Lin.

If Chicago truly wants to move Carlos Boozer, now's the time with Houston drooling over Omer Asik.

The Cons are that Carlos Boozer makes 6 to 7 million more then Luis Scola and is signed one season longer.

The Positives are that Luis Scola is signed through 2013/2014 with an early termination option for 2014/2015. Also Luis Scola makes 6 to 7 million less then Carlos Boozer and Courtney Lee gets be the Chicago Bulls starting shooting guard.

If I'm GarPax I'd tell Houston their not getting Omer Asik without taking Carlos Boozer because we'll match the offer.

boozer is the better overall player than scola but not by that much. scola makes a lot less. i'd rather have scola than boozer

Missed that wire tap. Good for Lin. He would of be complete **** in Houston. The only reason why he was playing well falls on the shoulders of Amare and Carmelo.

I think that's a great trade for both teams. Houston would probably be the winners of the trade. They get their front court which is better then half the NBA along with a first round pick. Houston is going to strike out in FA.

Any Asik S&T is highly unlikely, because he wouldn't be able to get nearly as much money.

Anyway, if the Bulls match, that's just fine. It's a win-win either way. Bulls don't match, we get Asik. If they do, Greg Smith will lead the tank brigade.

11-12 - Patrick Patterson PF/C = 14th pick
12-13 - Patrick Patterson C/PF = 9th pick
13-15 - Patrick Patterson C = 1st pick

amare avg 17 pts and 7.6 rebounds for in Feb. shooting 47.8%
carmelo avg. 16.5 pts, 4.0 rbs for Feb shooting 39% and missing 7 games due to injury
lin avg 20.9 pts , 8.4 asts and 4 rbs for Feb shooting 47.2%

so how can the reason Lin played well be because of Melo and Mare when they had subpar months?

actually Lin was doing very well without Melo and Stat. He was actually winning too.

But as far as the trade goes, no way. Nobody wants Boozer or his contract.

Exactly. There's no need to do a sign & trade (especially if Boozer is coming back here...talk about a poor use of cap room in our situation).

If Chicago matches Asik, so be it. I don't think that Houston is desperately sweating this one. No need to make a poor move like the one offered just because Chicago might threaten to match Asik.

Morey has proven that he won't take on huge contracts unless it was a superstar, so Boozer ain't happening.
