Chalmers and LeBron are the only ones I like. How can you not like Chalmers and like Wade and Bosh? Wade's face alone makes me hate him..

Chalmers is OK. It completely baffles me that he flips out on opposing players when they play real tough D on him. He got two techs this season against us. Once in the reg season because Bradley was completely shutting him down, he got in his face and got a T. Then again in the playoffs when Dooling was full court pressing him and Chalmers was completely INCREDULOUS that someone was playing tough D on him. I remember literally laughing out loud when he got in Doolings face as if to say how dare you play D on me. He got T'd up for that one too.

I mean he plays for the Heat so I hope he brushes his teeth with a sawed off shotgun but other than that he's fine.

I can't stand any of them but he has the less right to run his mouth on the floor but he runs it the most it seems......to me.

Another thing one might want to consider is that Ray Allen is a well-known creature of habit. Those types have a strong aversion to change. I don't think this detail should be underestimated.

It's because he actually thinks he's the best player on the team. That has been said by a lot of guys as well as the coach. Wade once said, "Mario is the reason why I'll never coach."

I said if he leaves he is a traitor to me. This team is special and to leave and not finish their careers here would be a joke.

What would be more beneficial? Winning a championship as part of a piece, really just being the backbone to Lebron, Wade and Bosh? And even then, if you don't win, it would be a huge waste.

Or resigning with Boston, your home, where your biggest fans are, where you won your only championship, where they are willing to pay you big money, where you belong. Easy decision IMO.

@SherrodbCSN: #CelticsTalk: "If Ray comes back, I just don't see it coming together with the #Celtics, but we'll see," said the agent for M. Pietrus. an hour ago

Mhm...it's either Peaches or Ray I guess. Going to miss Pietrus though if he doesn't come back..

Hey OP, just curious, was there a time at which this news would be announced? Or is it all the way up till midnight that this great news will be disseminated. Again, just curious.

It makes no sense for Ray to leave.

1. Home is here.
2. His boy is used to the hospitals here for medical.
3. His friends/teammates are here
4. He is an integral part of the team and an Icon in Boston Sports.

5. HE ALREADY HAS A CHAMPIONSHIP.

This hasn't been said enough. He already felt the thrill of winning a title and I promise you Ray, winning one down there won't feel nearly as good. The fans here CARE. We will cheer you even in defeat. We will celebrate you for the rest of time if you are part of another Celtics Championship.

Its about the journy, not the destination. Id rather fail with my Brothers, then celebrate in their face as a role player.

Bingo. This is why I, as a Celtics fan, am pissed off.

Miami can offer more minutes.

It's pretty clear Ray doesn't want to play here that badly - that's the sad thing. We are offering him twice the money and he still hasn't made a verbal agreement. Honestly I wish we had just matched the offer so he could make a non money motivated choice..

I'm not sure if Miami can really offer him more minutes. I would figure Wade averages around 32 mpg and I'm not sure if they want Wade to play a little PG but I would think they may hesitate on that. Both teams would probably play him 20-25 mpg. The Celtics would probably play him more then that as long as Bradley is out.

If Allen is expecting starters minutes, he shouldn't sign with the Heat or Celtics. He is a player with nba starter ability right now but on many of the true contenders he is no longer a starting SG.

I'm not sure they will. This could be more about Riley trying to hurt the Celtics rather than helping the Heat. Pat knows the Cs are the Heat's greatest threat in the East. Makes sense to make a play for Allen even if it means he doesn't get a lot of playing time in Miami. Think about it, they already have a ton of good 3 point shooters, most of whom are equal to or better than Allen defensively. What do they really need him for?

Man it sounds kinda silly to say, but isn't that the truth..?

Why would you want to play with your hated rivals, instead of going to battle with your brothers? These guys have been through everything these past 5 years, including a championship. STAY AT HOME,RAY.
