Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXXII Off-Season Editio
jesus man...end of july? i was thinking more like end of next week.....makes me think that we're not really doing anything in Free Agency or trades for that matter....i mean a Free Agent would want to know what coach he's going to play for right? by the end of july we might not have any avenue to trade anyone not named Dwight.....

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXXII Off-Season Editio
I think we'll have a coach in 2 weeks.
I'm looking for a new house and I'm hoping to be moved in by next April. however, realistically, I'll be ready by Jan/Feb. End of July is a safe deadline, but I think we'll be good sooner than that. Besides, it was reported that interviews will happen next week by Rob. Alex & DeVos family will interview whoever Rob pegs as a finalist. That could happened week after next then make an announcement on 7/19 - 7/20.

I am sorry but no organization is run in such a manner.
He can honor the contract he signed and then go where he wants in free agency.

Yeah, he can actually honor the contract he signed. If he wants to go somewhere else, he can shut up and play the season out and explore free agency.

Heres what i dont get, if we really want brook lopez, why wouldnt we just trade dwight to say houston for their rookies and the big euro, we shed a ton of money this year and then just sign lopez to a deal that would make it hard for the nets to match (PPP?)

The end of July to decide between 4 people, 2 of which shouldn't get the job? Doubt it.
Since when has D12 "preferred" to make it work here? Only a week ago when meeting with Henny he wanted to be traded.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXXII Off-Season Editio
people seem to just be making up things to keep views/hits/interest. On gen board there's a thread that talks about a rumor of Gasol for Dirk, and another thread discussing how Gasol is now off the trading block. Both were "someone on the radio said" (Larry Coon & ESPN talking head) hogwash, but because those things could have implications in a d12 trade, it's a hot topic. sofa king annoying.
Woj is the new Bucher. Shams is the new Woj. Espn is the new TMZ. The NBA is the new WWE.

If those words were only true....
is he saying this to not be traded anywhere else? and he could sign outright to BK next yr?
Dwight has ZERO chance of signing in Brooklyn as a free agent. Zero. They are capped out. He has ZERO leverage to get to brooklyn. There is nothing he can do to get to Brooklyn unless the Magic trade him there.

That's all everyone is doing. Notice how all the "big rumors" involve the biggest markets in the country. ESPN and CNNSI lead off everyday with "brooklyn still in the mix for Howard" and then a few hours later throw in"the Lakers are the frontrunners for Howard". K
Keeps everyone in NY and LA glued to their sites, stations, etc...

Well I remember last year Dwights team of preference was 1.NJ 2.Orl then dallas and LA
Then he talked to Kobe and said F LA, And I'm pretty sure he only considered Dallas because He thought Deron might go there. . .Which leaves NJ and Orl and NJ cant sign him. . .

It makes me wonder, would Dwight Howard take a MLE to go to Brooklyn?

I see it now. He pledges to stay and to make it work in ORL, doesn't extend with the promise of resigning with us at the end of the season, leaves us hanging.
I don't think Alex Martins would let that happen. If he wants to make it work, he signs an extension or he takes his game elsewhere.

He might be a child but he's not a child with downs syndrome.

Knowing dwight, He probably wouldnt. He want to be THE MAN. Remember when he said we should make him into a closer? That even if he fails we should just feed him in crunch time? Without even a promise from him that he'd stay? THIS is the guy we're talking about

^^ hmm, I guess. I was going off him saying he just wants to win. He seems to want a stacked deck just like Lebron. You are right though about the ego and wanting sole attention.

The Brooklyn Nets and Orlando Magic continue to discuss a Dwight Howard trade. They're looking for a third team: http://t.co/VYXPukJ5

Hard to tell. I'm pretty sure I've seen this exact same tweet, or slight variations on it, forty-five times in the past week.
