But any other team Ray and not for .50 on the dollar your a Heat whore now.

Ray Allen is a cowardly sellout. He can't beat them so he joins them. Weak!

Doesn't mean we don't have a right to be pissed.

Fool.

Except the post I quoted said Ray's move was classless. Try reading everything in the correct context before making empty responses.

Ray Allen's number will never be retired in Boston.

I think Melo asked for Dooling's number I expect him to wear 20. Ainge hates retired numbers as it is so 20 is back in the rotatoin for sure.

We'll see about that. I can guarantee Doc and Danny aren't whining and throwing a fit about Ray going to Miami like everyone here is and they more than likely still appreciate what Ray did to help this team win a title.

No, you're trying to play the "bigger person" fan role... That's not gonna fly here. Not now, not tonight after this.

Ray stabbed this franchise in the back. Period. Don't tell us he didn't do anything wrong. We fully understand what he did, or what he didn't do. ANd it stings. Let us vent.

Isn't Fab Melo is wearing 13? I'm pretty sure they already picked their numbers.

Now we're retiring Ray's number? I didn't think that was ever on the table to be honest. I'm still on the fence about Garnett. And if #5 isn't retired then no way in hell is #20 retired.

Agreed.

I am disappointed in Ray. But he walked away from a bigger offer. So we can only assume

1) Ainge burned his bridges with all his constant trade attempts.
2) Perhaps the relationship with Rondo had really deteriorated.
3) Ray doesn't like Boston's chances at getting another title, at least compared to Miami's
4) His ego needed stroking, after being deposited on the bench and very nearly traded.

We complain about Ray's loyalty and that was a big FU going to Miami, but Ainge showed little loyalty in the other direction. I don't mean that Ainge shouldn't have been trying to trade Ray (or Rondo or PP). It's a business and Ainge should be looking always to improve the team.

But the way Ainge went about his business each year rankled Ray and probably Rondo and Pierce. Ainge didn't go about his trades with any class -- just sprayed all sorts of stuff to the media and then blindsided the players with moves or attempted moves.

Ray walked away from more money. That says it all.
My name's Henry Connor.
Conner Henry was a Celtic.
Hence the pun.

We understand your position after 500 posts defending the guy. He just signed with our conference Rival, heaven forbid people are pissed off.

Raise his jersey in your basement because that is as close to the Rafters as it will ever get.

Ray Allen is dead to Celtics Nation. No jersy in the rafters. No ovation when he comes back to Boston. No invitation to come back for championship reunions.

KG and PP carried this choker on their back when he stunk up the joint throughout the 2008 playoffs. And this is how this classless punk repays them?

Have fun sniffing LeBron's jock in Miami the next couple years, Ray. I can't wait to watch them trade your corpse and expiring contract to Sacramento in a couple years.

And DON'T, I repeat DON'T, even think about mentioning the Celtics when you're inducted into the HOF. You are a Buck, Sonic and Heat...you should be so proud.

What in the hell does this have to do with my post?

I said Ray playing where he wanted to wasn't classless. You said "nobody said it was". I replied by saying the post I quoted said it was. Now you're completely changing the subject into how Ray is such a traitor and blah blah blah.

I'm not trying to be the bigger person. I'm defending one of my favorite players and appreciating what he did for the franchise.

Can't wait for the Celtics to knock off the Heat in the East Finals and for Jason Terry to hit the game winning 3. Ray Allen is a bitttch. What a front runner. I understand there's no longer true loyalty in the game of basketball (besides KG and Pierce) but still. The Heat? My lord. Go play in the Western conference dude. Sign with the Thunder or Spurs. sign with LAC.

what a loser. taking less money, to back up Wade. clearly a jerk off move directed at Ainge and Rondo.

What? KG's number was a guarantee to be retired the minute we won in 2008.

Ray Allen is better than a lot of the players who's numbers have been retired and he was the 3rd best player on a championship team, which a lot of those players can't say.

AB and Rondo are drooling right now at the chance to guard Ray Allen, they can both make him look foolish out there

With all due respect, screw off.
